what awesome conference finals we'll get to watch. The battle of the 2 best back courts in one final. And the battle of 2 of the 3 best 2 way players in the game in the other.. :hoops::popcorn

Golden State will have a cakewalk with or without Durant. Portland took advantage this year of a surprisingly easy draw but they aren't scaring anyone good. I'm hoping the other series ain't good either but Toronto has the ability to make life very difficult. Hope the Bucks come out in proper killer mentality. I don't think Giannis will come out like a puss this time.

I am watching the GSW-PTB game and I cannot help but feel like both the Raps and the Bucks can take these two teams man. Maybe with KD it would be different but these teams have no D at all.

Portland would be an easy out for either obviously but they aren't making it. KD will be back for the finals. I do disagree though, I think GS plays great defense no matter who is in there.

Portland is the worst team to make a Western conference final in many many years. They arent exactly oozing with talent and they arent that strong on defense. This is the first year in a long time where the East made huge strides in power balance. The West is still significantly stronger because of the 6-15 rank teams in each conference. East is just top heavy but that's more than they had been for awhile. It will be interesting to see how the huge free agent moves will affect the power balance.

Pelicans win the Zion sweepstakes and that is interesting for a couple big reasons relating to AD: it takes an "AD for #1 pick" trade off the table and also is it possible AD reconsiders the trade demand? Zion is the most touted NBA prospect since LeBron. I don't watch much college but he looks really legit.

NBA pundits make me laugh. GSW loses a final they really should have won, and the narrative becomes cast in stone that they need KD otherwise they simply can't win. Don't get me wrong KD makes them unbeatable, but the idea that they have no chance against the Raptors or Bucks makes no sense to me. Even without KD they're still the best team on the planet in my opinion

I don't think the narrative for most is that they need KD to win. Sure there are some like Barkley and Stephen A that overstate crap like they had no chance vs Houston or (gulp) Portland without Durant.

But the addition of Durant made the league a joke competition wise and everyone aside from GSW homers are happy Durant is going to leave.

We won't find out if they'd beat Milwaukee or Toronto without Durant but I doubt it. Both of those teams are better than Houston, especially the Bucks. But with that said they would definitely have a shot even without Durant, they are that good.

I think it's reasonable to say that the Bucks and Raptors would be favourites, I don't think it makes any sense whatsoever to say that they don't stand a chance which is the narrative I'm hearing. But as you say, some folks are prone to hyperbole

I found the talk really dumb. The team did kind of good before KD got there lol. I did think Houston would win game 6 and lose game 7 but GSW did one better. I also think they know Durant is not needed to drown the Blazers in 4 or 5 and they won't bring him back.

There are some pieces missing from the 2015-2016 teams that went 1-1 in the finals but the main core is still there. I just don't think they'd match up well with the Bucks if you don't have KD in there. Toronto would be a closer call and that may end up being the series. But you throw KD in there and they are beating either team.

well one things for sure. If GSW were to beat either team without KD Steph would have to be operating at unanimous MVP level. I still think he has it in him. And maybe if the worst happens he now has enough time to really feel it and get confident

Yep! No big time NBA prospect grows up wanting to play in shithole cities. The video of Knicks fans going nuts are awesome. Those idiots clearly don't understand probability too well.

Looks exactly like game 1 against Boston. Absolutely zero defense, no ball movement and no one can hit a shot.

Bledsoe a no show again. Getting abused on defense by the likes of Kyle Lowry. That's my issue with him. When he is bad he is unplayable, worst player on the court. No such thing as him just being a little bad. Bucks as a team getting blown by easily and that's leading to wide open 3's.

Pathetic lineup by Bud. You can't have Ilyasova, Mirotic and Lopez in when Toronto has a relatively small and very athletic lineup in. You could get away with that lineup against some Boston lineups but not in this series.

Can't rebound, can't defend. Embarrassing half. Time for Giannis to put his big boy pants on.

You know he is not going to take this abuse forever. Raps doing a great job on him but not just that, they rotate pretty good too when he kicks it out.
Bucks will tighten the screws though. It is unavoidable. Raps had a lot of uncontested shots in the first half, likes of they have not seen in the Philly series. That cannot last.
