Well that should be a good wake up call for the Warriors. 135 points at home in a playoff game against a starless Clippers squad is pretty pathetic not to mention it was the largest blown lead in playoff history.

It was an absolute shocker. Beverley is renting space in KD's head it seems. The one bright side for them is Boogie being injured. Hopefully he recovers in time for the Rockets, but I suspect they'll be more effective in this series without him

He tore his quad, he will be done for a long time. Anyways nothing to worry about for the Warriors in the West aside from Houston.

Oh Russsiee. Ugh, the one year I kind of hope the Thunder do decent (love Paul George and tolerated Russ more this season for some reason).

For awhile this year he actually played with some control but ultimately that dude has zero bball IQ. I'm not sure a great coach would help but it'd be nice to find out some day.

The only match up in the next round that isn't really compelling for me is Spurs/Nuggets vs Blazers. The rest could be finals. Exciting stuff!

@Murat Baslamisli You know I love ya man but after seeing this series as well as pretty much all of Russ's postseason play throughout the years, do you see why the triple double averages don't mean a lot? The guy is simply not elite, too out of control and too much of a knucklehead. I give him credit for two years ago when he won the MVP and dragged an awful team to the playoffs. The problem is he simply doesn't make a decent or good team much better. In fact he often gets in the way of superior players/scorers (KD and PG).

didn't he get a triple double in this game? Folks have to put that stat into the dumpster heap when Westbrook in particular achieves it. This is the difference between post-season and regular season basket ball. Russell staying firmly in his lane

A triple double average is definitely not the holy grail in bball. The other night Reggie Miller was saying it should be scoring champion, MVP and defensive player of the year in the same season. That is something only MJ has achieved.

I do not disagree about the knucklehead part but I do insist there are a lot of knuckleheads out there that do not have even one triple double in a whole season. Before RW made it "ordinary" , averaging a TD for a season WAS the holy grail, no?

But either way...are you seeing the Boston-Bucks series as tricky at all or you think your guys will close it out in 5 or something?

I'm very worried. Boston has one of the clutchest guys in the sport and they have a way of making teams play ugly. Bucks should win of course but they "should" win against anyone not named Golden State. This also is unchartered territory for Giannis and Co mentally against one of the few teams that can give them problems. I said it before but I think if they beat Boston they are making the finals and only GSW would beat them probably.

These pesky "never say die" Clips will not go away. Giving the Dubs fits again on their home floor

Haven't watched a game in that series and it looks just weird. Clips that good? GSW are not as good as we think? What is going on there?
For my sins I woke up ridiculously early today and watched the last quarter and a bit. Those guys have clamped down on Steph like I've rarely seen before. KD still looked to be getting his, but the splash brothers weren't hitting their spots reliably. And they were a bit lackadaisical defensively as well. A number of times they got within 3 points, but the Clippers were impressive stopping any hot streaks from getting out of hand. They really really deserved the win. You have to think they won't be able to restrain those guys like that again. If they do, they deserve it!

Do or Die G7 tonight between Spurs/Nuggets. It's the only R1 that's not decided.

Players/teams/media never learn their lesson when it comes to the top players. Everyone saying Beverley was going to shut down KD look a little crazy now. I remember the same thing last year when LeBron was going up against the Raptors and Celtics. There were articles about the Raps rookie and then Marcus Morris and how they would make life miserable for LeBron. Those guys don't need any extra motivation.

Apparently Steph rolled his ankle bad last night. They aren't beating Houston right now without a healthy and focused team. I expect they'll get their act together and it may end up being an easier series than anyone expects.

You sure it was Curry? MSN is reporting it was Klay
