I think Rafa takes this one, the possibility of Delpo winning due to surprise or Rafa not being ready is 0 now, as obviously everyone saw Delpo is hitting forehands. So, Rafa will be prepared with his action plan. Ofcourse, I want to be wrong :) I would love a Delpo win, only player apart from Fed, for whom I will be genuinely happy if he wins and ofcourse I do not want Rafa closing that Slam gap )

Well said. I still say our boy deserves a serious slap upside the head from Mirka and/or his team for being such an idiot. Rafa walking his way to this easy ass slam should hopefully show him just how stupid he was. I will say it here, 19 may not be enough because we are in for another year of weak competition in 2018. Hope Fed gets back to work after licking these wounds.

So what is the story with the backhand? We've seen him slicing for a good two years now and suddenly he can hit it again? I mean that's great, but what's the story?
I think he's always thrown in the 2-hander, but uses it sparingly, and mostly as a kill shot.

Yes sure. Question is why has he changed back to pre injury play? Taking a risk?

Do you think he's using it that much more? If so, then maybe the left wrist is improving.

Has someone mentioned before, Delpo's serve will be the key. It will be interesting on Nadal will return the serve.

As usual, Nadal is starting slow and nervous and he is hitting soft balls right now.

As for Delpo, it will be interesting on how his backhand will hold up.

Delpo got the first break...his backhand is holding up so far.

Now, we will see on how Nadal responds to this...

Del Potro is indeed using the 2-hander more. The left wrist must be feeling better.

Moxie, it looks like Nadal is being tentative so far. He is just spinning right now.
Only just able to start watching now. Will look for it. Some rally!!!

Like I said before, Nadal standing way back to return serve will be his doom. I don't like it at all!
