I agree with this though I wouldn't expect a bagel here and Rafa also isn't capable of playing low balls. He will expose the KA movement and he is in the type of robot mode we saw in his prime where he never misses a ball. KA can serve great but he isn't going to blow Rafa off the court in rallies which is the only way to beat someone who never misses a ball.
I get you, but I noticed that whenever PCB hit slices that bounced low, Anderson could not reach them quickly enough because of his slowness and his height. Nadal could slice the ball or drop shot it without many risks because Anderson is not quick enough moving forward.

Rafa' s fiorehand does go a bit high, but from the little I saw, the court is not bouncing too high.

I read that since the early 1970's when the ranking scheme for ATP started, Anderson is the lowest ranked player ever to reach USO finals.

The USO, maybe, but not a Major. Anderson is ranked 32.

What a travesty of a Grand Slam. This has been the equivalent of an ATP 500 event - my guess is the weakest Slam and easiest path to a Slam title since the Australian Open in the early 80s.

It is just crazy to think that Rafa will (almost certainly) win this by not facing even one top 20 opponent.

Why that insistence to discredit these GS? Roger went out without facing one top 20 which looks even worse

Ok guys I'm packing to go to my friends house tough I'm thinking twice because they don't have already electricity due to the fall of a lamppost and in this area where I leave the cables goes under ground which is great. Anyway the hurricane seems that goes more and more to the west (hope it gets the Mexico Gulf) even that we are going to have strong winds and rain it's not going to be so bad like we thought. Thanks guys for your good wishes :good:
Anyway I hope to be able to watch the final on Sunday which will mean we are ok around here.

Yes, true - Roger was playing poorly. But what does that have to do with what I said, or the fact that this is one of the easiest GS title paths in history?

This doesn't mean you shouldn't be happy when Rafa hoists the trophy tomorrow, but just accept the fact that he didn't have to work that hard to get it.

Thank God Toni moonlighted earlier this summer with the company that resurfaced the courts in Flushing meadows..

Carol my friend. You will learn how to take what El Dude is saying just as fact and a bit tongue in cheek..at the end of the day , all that matters is the number #16..it won't matter if it's Federer, Djoker, Andy, or my ex boss's sarcophagus(jackass got axed for leaking confidential information to hackers but he didn't think I was monitoring his ip address)..a Grand Slam title is a win . If Rafa wins tomorrow it wouldn't matter if he was facing herios(who really should have taken the advice Darth suggested for her a last week). RAFA
has no control of how the draw is constructed or it's outcome.

You can laugh about it, I would too if AO and RG were sped up immensely and suddenly played more to Roger's strengths year after year. I remember the good old days when Wimbledon and USO were both very fast and you didn't have a topspinning baseliner who returns from 20 feet behind the baseline winning these events. I still say Wimby and USO tourney director love them some Wafa for God knows what reason.

LOL that's actually a clever response. Although yeah, this has been a dream path for anyone making his way to the final.

RG can be sped up as much as you'd like, Roger ain't winning there again.

I guess Rafa will be extra motivated to win for his Uncle Toni, last GS he is coaching. Bleh.

This. Look at Anderson's path, too. He should have had to face Sasha Zverev and Marin Cilic, but they went out. Instead, he got Querrey and PCB.
