The winner of Istomin vs Grigor D.
Hmmm, interesting :popcorn

Yeah..I haven't recall Grigor getting this far in GS but I feel he will end Istomin 's fairytale run

Yep, probably, Istomin has done enough already but ....we'll see

Grigor made it to the QF at the 2014 AO (lost to Rafa) and the QF of the 2014 Wimbledon (lost to Novak). That was the year he reached #8, finished #11 and looked like he was breaking through. If I remember correctly, he refused to be an alternate at the WTF.

Istomin took a medical timeout after 2nd set TB and hasn't moved well since, so unless the painkillers he took are going to help, this one looks over

Shame. Was hoping he'd win. Haven't been able to watch it but he won set 1 by quite some margin.

Holy crap, this is the Grigor Dimitrov we've been waiting for. He looks like a top 10 player here. If he can maintain this level he is a true Slam threat.

Haven't been able to watch but he lost set 1 badly and apparently Istomin is moving badly since his MTO so wouldn't get too excited :)

I was expecting you to know better Grigor's accomplishments.
He reached SF at Wimbledon in 2014, not only QF.

If Monfils is going to be like this, his management should start packing his things.

I think that brunette sitting behind Gael's coach is his girlfriend..not bad..some tennis players live like rock stars :clap

Gael will always be an entertainer, not a tennis player.

Monfils is doing well now. 3-2 up on serve in the fourth set.

My thoughts are having Moya on the team really should pay its dividends because he was one of Milos technical advisers the past couple of years..I would think he would be able to help Rafa alter his return serve positions and advise him to try to use the lefty advantage to neutralize Milos court positioning. The 3 and 4 set vs Monfils concerned me because I knew Gael still had a few levels to elevate his game. Yes, Milos will serve bombs but just a Bautista showed Milos can be out played but you have to weather his storm.
