it will take a miracle to stop Djokovic from taking all 4 slams this year.

and he may just repeat in 2017.

Rafa doesn't give a damn and Federer is ancient.

Stan is old too and his best days are done. also this is not the same Djokovic he beat in 2015.

and Andy doesn't have a dominating forehand.

the coast is clear. now Djokovic can take all the titles on all surfaces.

Djokovic can beat them all with his hands tied behind his back and he is still working night and day on his fitness and his game.

I know how are you feeling. I had the hope that 2015 was just a nightmare and 2016 would be different but I was wrong. If Rafa would be in front of my face I would smash his face  for the reason that he is going too far already losing and losing and losing against anyone. If he would have played just a little bit better he would have reached the finals and win but on the contrary he is playing like a beginner or like someone who doesn't know what to do. Sorry but this is going to something incredible to the absurd. I don't feel sorry for him at all and unless something drastic could change I can't see any improvement.....o_O

It will be interesting to see if Dominic Thiem kicks on during the clay swing.

The guy likes to play on clay, it seems. All 4 of his titles are on this surface. I think he can do some damage at RG, if he stays healthy.

Rafa is human guys... Lot of mileage on the clock - physically and mentally. Lower the expectations and enjoy him while he's still in the sport.

Enjoy him....how? I understand that he is preparing his future with the 'Nadal Academy' (which will be open in May) and also multiple business but he could have still two more years to do well. He is physically better than previous years and I thought about the lack of confidence but he seems to have lost the enthusiasm for the game and that issue is more dificult to solve

Enjoy the fact he is still playing tennis and you get chance to see him. He's a living legend. The same process happened with Fed fans when he stopped winning multiple slams per year -fans berating him etc...

These guys aren't robots - they owe us nothing but have given us plenty. Rafa will still have his moments going forward and I'm sure will win some more silverware... but the days of winning a billion clay matches in a row, multiple slams every year are likely gone...

Still, he has proven a lot of people wrong before. He is in decline but he's still a good player relatively speaking. (just maybe not when comparing himself to himself at his peak). One thing I'm pretty certain of - he can play better than he's doing right now, but don't expect to see the levels of 2008, 2011 etc...

whatever you are smoking must be pretty damn good.

Rafa has no fitness and barely 30% of his ground game.

his rank is completely bogus. there are challenger level players out there that can beat Rafa even on clay now.

wake up and smell the coffee.

this was game's gladiator once who owned winning records against 100% of the top 30 players once.

why the hell would I see him put in one pathetic and lame performance after another.

he keeps showing up horribly prepared and keeps crying about how tired he is after his matches.

he said he was tired after his match against Verdasco in Melbourne. he said he was tired in Doha. he said he was tired against Dominic.

he also complained about 4 times that I know of about the heat and humidity at this chicken shit clay event.

don't you think he has had some time after losing early everywhere in every bloody event to do a little something about his fitness.

now he says he needs to improve physically.

all talk and all lip service for public consumption. he is not going to do a damn thing.

don't the results say it all if all else fails and eludes you.

now lets fix a damn drink. I will have scotch on the rocks. make it single malt. 12 years old.

cheers.

Before doing damage at RG, let's see if he can do some of it in the masters. Those are the events which are stepping stones to the slams.

I don't know herios. I actually think that slams are where these young guys (or any player) can make more damage (with just a bit of luck in the draw) than in Masters 1000: bigger field, playing every other day. Dom has enough experience now and solid ranking to avoid facing the top guys in the first couple of rounds.

Look at Wawrinka last year.

Andy Murray can win RG but somebody would have to remove Djokovic there.

And in addition, Andy would need to win one of the clay masters event with a win over Djokovic. that could furnish him with sufficient confidence and momentum to try his hand at RG.

finally Andy would need a kind draw at RG.

First let's go to see what is going on the next tournaments,
.I don't take any credit to Thiem but to have beaten Nadal at this time doesn't mean too much and to win the final beaten Almagro who has been for long time with the foot and shoulder problems.....not doubts that he is good on clay but to think that he can do damage in RG then we should wait first what he is doing before

Rafa should get through the first two rounds of RG for sure, as a seeded player he will encounter nobodies. I would think still that Djokovic is the only player beating him there.

Does anyone know where tickets for Roland Garros can be bought on the internet?

Also for Rome masters. Is this the last year they play Rome Masters on Foro Italico?

The way he is playing anyone can beat him

it is not just the diluted game as it has taken a substantial hit in every single department and in every single aspect.

what is more alarming is that that he has no fitness. he cant beat anybody with this highly depleted fitness level.

the mountain now is even steeper to climb because where the hell do you begin if you are him:

1. serve is weak
2. return is weak to damn near pathetic
3. he has no confidence in his backhand so he continues to give up position on the court
4. the potent forehand is a thing of the past. his mighty topspin forehand does not exist anymore

5. fitness: very little endurance and significant loss of muscle mass. he needs fitness and he needs to do substantial physical work in the gym.

my concern is injury at this point but he doesn't care to win anyway. next injury will end his career for good.

I don't know Mastoor. Did you try searching online via Google or something? Try tournament directly? We have a phone # here for Toronto where we call and buy our tickets. You pick which ones you want, pay and pick them up at the stadium. I've even stayed for the evening session and bought my ticket directly at the ticket counter. Ha I think that one day I came to York University at 10:30am and stayed till 11:30pm.

I'll try their sites. I thought that someone visiting the forum had experience with buying tickets in those tournaments from another country.

Take a look at the link directory here, there is a company that specializes in packages for tennis tournaments, The tennis tourist.
