Real historians will know that Soderling took out Rafa in R16 and not in QF.

Real historians will also know Roger had to really work through difficult opponents such as Haas, JMDP and Monfils before even reaching finals in 2009.

:laydownlaughing

Buddy, you can't call somebody a troll then in the same post call Haas and Monfils "difficult opponents." Not unless you were joking...

Haas straight setted Djokovic at Miami 2013 in a pretty damned impressive performance. Novak said he thought it was one of the worst matches he ever played which was complete bs btw. Haas has beaten him before and is a quality opponent with a great all court game and only age and tons of injuries have slowed him down. Monfils on the other hand is a very good player but he's one of the worst chokers on tour.

IMO, the all time "choke" in Paris should go to their native son, JW Tsonga! Nothing was more painful than watching him squander 4 match points against Nole a few years ago; then totally disintegrated losing the 5th set taking only 1 game! I guess he can take solace in knowing he may have contributed to Nole not being "up" for Nadal again when he had his chances to win in 2012! He used all his luck just to get to the final!  :dodgy:

Haas. :cover

By the way, I can see why Herios has been championing Raonic. He's certainly improved and set himself apart from the Grigor Generation for now. He's still in a state of potential, whereas Kei and the rest look like they're not improving. Raonic has tried to add a bit of subtlety to his game, and he was varying the serves nicely. I wonder if Moya has already had an influence, and where it'll all lead. He's always been very honest in his efforts anyway, and he was unfortunate yesterday in the timing of the injury...
