Kei in three. Djokovic is playing Simon, and unless Novak has an off day, this will be a quick three as well.</blockquote>
Well, judging from the first set….1 hour 6:3 set.

Being tennis smart as he is, imagine if he had a bit of physical power like some of his French co-patriots?

And if Monfils had 1/10 of Simon's smarts... he'd be GOAT.

^^ LOL Maybe...

Too many errors (especially on FH side) from Nole.

2nd break point in this game and Nole dumps backhand slice into the net as many times.

And backhand DTL is wide on another break point.  He is missing so many regular shots.

Wow another BH error on another break point.  It can come back to bite him...

And Simon gives him another break opportunity.

LOL comedy of errors now...deuce again

Nole has snapped out of the rut. Might be one way traffic when he grabs this first set.

2nd set you mean?

7 break points and nada in that last game.  Unless Simon drastically tires out and Nole stops making so many errors, this could be a long match.

3 more break chances gone.  0:11 in this set and he is not playing a big server.

Well that was unfortunate and pathetic TB from Nole.   It is 1:12am here and time for bed I think. :bye:

100 Unforced errors from Novak. Simon holds. Novak aint going to get an easy out here.

Gilles Simon is battling like a dog.

Pfff that took way too long. And Simon was just Simon. After this its Nishi/Roger/Murray or Stan. It's going to be tough now.

Maybe Nole was a bit complacent going in. I don't expect to see 100+ unforced errors from him again anytime soon.

I just saw the 5th. Apparently Djokovic was having some trouble with the drop shots tonight, based on the on-court interview with Courier, and commentary from the crowd. LOL. (Novak was a good sport about that.) Simon is a tricky guy, but 100 UFEs? Anyway, Nole ties Connors in QF appearances at a major. And Berdych into a 5th v. Bautista Agut. I may stay up a bit.

Yeah Simon is not the most obvious player to play drop shots against, cause he is such a retriever and counterpuncher. It must have come out of dispair. Have only seen the last set though.

Berdych survives RBA, but also a tough day.
