He has earned the right to talk. He is always honest and keeps it about the tennis, so I don't understand what the big deal is about Patrick talking about Serena and her tennis and other player's games. He is a commentator after all.
he is an employee of Serena and goes about talking about his boss...this is a high stakes situation and any little morsel of info can be used against Serena. The Williams have always had a wall around their camp and that worked ...the ESPN box was getting too close to Sascha now they dont care about him....goodness knows why he was fired maybe Serena didnt trust him anymore.
First, Patrick has talked before, and if Serena had a problem with it, he would not be talking about her to the press anymore. Obviously, she doesn't have a problem with it because he continues to speak freely to the press, so if she doesn't have an issue with it, I am not sure why some fans take issue with his talking to the press.
Second, Sascha gave an interview with ESPN this Wimbledon. I am sure you can dig it up if you so choose stating that he and Serena decided to part ways because he wanted more. You can't blame someone for wanting to take a step up in their career. Serena wasn't about to ditch Patrick and be like ok Sascha coach me. Vika approached him after she saw that he was not at Australia. He then accepted the job. Also why would Serena get coached by Sascha. What was he going to improve in her game? He was in her camp before Patrick, but it wasn't until after Patrick came on board that consistency and a more nuanced approach took shape. If he was serious about trying to coach Serena, he would have taken her to that next level before Patrick. I am not knocking Sascha because he was an integral part to her success, but it isn't like when he saw openings that he took advantage and tried to assert a stronger hold on Serena's tennis. Look at it as a career change l am sure that is how Serena looks at it.
