Same old chapter once again. Murray plays well for the first 7 games, then suddenly lose concentration against Djokovic.

He's still ahead by the way.

He is ahead but at the same time we know he could easily lose the lead.

Djokovic lead the H2H 19-8 and he was won the last 8 meetings against Murray. He is 4-0 against Murray this year.

Here's an interesting fact too: In each of last eight meetings, Djokovic has won the first set. So, basically, Murray hasn't had a one set lead over Djokovic since that 2013 Wimbledon final (the last time Murray beat Djokovic).

So for Murray to win, he NEEDS to win the first set against Djokovic or else he will lose a ninth straight time to Djokovic.

For Djokovic, he just needs to do on what he has been doing in the past eight meetings and he will get his 25th Masters 1000 crown.

So, Andy met the necessary condition to win.

But, this does not mean he will win.

^ Pretty sure he'll win today sadly and thought as much before it started. I predicted 6-4 6-3. Maybe it'll be the reverse.

Well, there's something we haven't seen since 2013 Wimbledon! A bit shocked after he let that 4-1 lead go. One more set Andy! :clap

Muzza!

I'm not saying he will win if he wins the first set. But he will not win the match if he loses the first set.

I'm not saying he will win if he wins the first set. But he will not win the match if he loses the first set.

That is what is meant by necessary condition. :)

The first set wasn't a "necessary condition." It's helpful and increases the odds, but stranger things have happened on a tennis court than Murray winning after losing the first set. Right now, he's going to have to increase intensity levels. Murray's failing in all his big matches this year is the inability to raise his game even further, when the opponent does...

He did pretty well in Madrid ;)

I think he's doing allright, just running into a better Djokovic.

Personnally, I don't really care about the Canadian Open. As long as Djokovic bags the US Open, I'm happy.

That's annoying. Getting back from 40-0, and then losing the game.
