^ Yeah, it's utter crap. They've gone with this scrolling Parallax effect, which is the rage to some... but a pain in the arse to others just looking for info as swiftly as possible in a conventional manner.

Exactly! I'm glad it's not just me. It used to be so much easier to navigate. Been looking for transcripts of the interviews - they used to be clearly in the tab marked "news" - but I gave up looking. Used to be good articles there too, but the News section looks cheap and shabby. I rarely consult the site anymore...

Yes, it's garbage. I can't find anything on the dumb thing.

When in 2014 Wawrinka won the AO and Cilic the USO I don't remember if someone called them the Kings of HC ........:snicker. Look what happened this year in the AO and what will happen next in the USO. Things change, winners too and wait, RG has not finished yet

Nobody is in denial, brother. The title we're talking about isn't "King of Roland Garros". There's no such title. There's the champion of Roland Garros, and there are four men contending for it, two of them clearly the best on clay this year, and one of them two is clearly the favourite to win it...

That's what I was talking about. And at least BB admits it now, too. Folks were getting way ahead of themselves with both "The King is Dead," and "Long live the king," because the win yesterday didn't crown anything. Nadal is the King of Clay, which doesn't get thrown around randomly every year.

And I agree, I can't use the RG website. Actually, if you launch the live scores from the ATP website, it looks like it goes to the RG one, but the functionality is different and better. For what it's worth now.

Never didn't "admit it"... it's a figure of speech when an era comes to an end and a new regime takes hold. Look it up.

Only an idiot would dismiss Nadal's past exploits on clay, or revisit nicknames based on what a player did in the past compared to the present.

People can call Sampras, the "King of grass"... and they wouldn't be wrong... but is he the King of Grass right now?

The win yesterday didn't crown a thing. But a win on Sunday will.. for whoever wins the title (and it's not god given that will be Djokovic - although he is obviously the favourite)... and that title and crown will be earned and deserved.

No new regime has taken hold, was my point. Djokovic already IS #1. But he hasn't won RG yet. Plus, that one got Nole's mom in trouble with the Federer people...I thought you'd have avoided it.

Had there been no Roger, Sampras would have been at least "the last King of Grass."

As far as RG Champion, we all agree that the guy who wins on Sunday will have and deserve the title.

The scrolling Parallax effect prolly works better on other websites, but I find this one to be useless. Anybody else find that the live scoreboard doesn't fully load?

You're being ridiculous. I can't believe your boy losing robbed you of your sense of humor. You've known bribox for how long? Yet you are completely unable to see that his "The King is dead" post was a tongue in cheek reference to what Nole's mother said all those years before. :nono C'mon Mox, you're made of better stuff..

I think it's all the wild gloating and rubbing people's faces in it, when your boy hasn't actually won the thing yet, that's probably making everybody a bit twitchy. And you've been doing it too, so don't act surprised if people can't tell what's meant as a joke, and what's meant as a rub...

britbox didn't gloat...

Me? I am still savoring watching that last set! :snicker The magnitude of a 3 set comprehensive drubbing on the terre battue - of the eternal King of Clay? Comparatively, the celebrating has been on a much smaller scale. ;)

Back on topic: Whether Murray or Djokovic win tomorrow it was a fine day yesterday.

I understand that Britbox didn't gloat. It isn't his style. Well, not since he doesn't have anything to gloat about. :snicker

And I don't mind the gloating, of course it was a day for Nole fans to brag, their boy earned it, and we all love them days more than the others. I'm not being a killjoy on something as undeniable as that - but there's no need to call Moxie out on anything either. You know as well as anybody that sometimes humour gets lost on the written page, especially when it gets so outta hand that people don't know their King from their regents anymore... ;)

You're not being a killjoy brother.

In fairness, my own conclusion is that the defeat of Rafa at RG should be celebrated, because beating him there has been long called the Everest of the sport, no matter what version of Rafa we saw yesterday. It still had to be done, and it took a great player to do it.

As for Murray and Nole, there's not really much to discuss, is there? Apart from when does it start and will Andy go AWOL again, or is he truly back to his pre-op best?

I haven't noticed Bjorkman in his box, but maybe he's there. I thought Amelie was finished with him for now...

Soderling was decent, but I think it's a huge stretch to consider him "great". Or does his win not count?;)

EDIT: Since this is a Djokovic vs. Murray thread...I hope that Djokovic wins.

She is around till Wimbledon. Fans, not Andy, appear to be itching to get her out of his camp.

I saw an interview on British tv last night. Where he credited ALL of his recent improvement to Amelie, and her way of getting her points across. Didn't mention Jonas once

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised for her to come back to the team in some capacity after she has her baby.

Yep, to beat the best clay player of the Tennis History ( even when he is playing his worst) it has to be a fine time

I am sure you mourned when Rafa beat Novak at the USO in 2013...

Ohh really, now she is good ? I told back then, Amelie make this kid a bit "to grow up". There were some bad remarks on Amelie from AO, but i was opinion Amelie is good point in Muzza squad.

Muzza had some potty mouth after AO, but few days after he said how foolish he had reacted.

I know I never was opposed to Amelie, and I could be wrong, but I don't remember Federberg being critical about her...

I usually enjoy when Nadal wins like you are doing the same with Novak but I've never liked to rub it and to put salt in the wound when he has beaten Novak or anyone else though reading some comments of his (Novak) fans they would deserve it :nono :(
