That miss volley on 5 all in the first set tiebreak is probably gonna be the difference in this match at least for Murray. He had to make that volley in order to win that tiebreak but he didn't so he lost the set and possibly the match.

Quite possibly true, yup. An absolutely huge point and miss. Novak looked totally out of it but that point was a gift that won him the set.

And what's funny is his approach shot was an awful shot too because he shot right back to Djokovic instead of hitting in the open court.

They know each other so well, they start running or "stop" and stay for the next shot! It's hard to really trick them at this point! :nono  :dodgy: :eyepop

Kids are finally in bed. And I see Djokovic is doing well so far. How's the level of tennis right now? Djoko screaming yet? Muzzfuzz grabbing body parts yet? Sailor-mouth Kim swearing yet?

It's not an exciting final. The breaks are given up rather than taken, as much as anything. Murray doesn't have the conviction he's shown in other matches, and Nole looks as disinterested and brittle as he looked in the semi...

Nole fairly calm so far; even with his injured thumb, Andy's ranting, and the camera hasn't caught Kim's filthy mouth yet! lol! :snicker :laydownlaughing

Quality started good but has plummeted since. Match has gone a bit flat at the moment. Djokovic has had a problem with his hand and then seemed to have one with his ankle but has recovered from both it seems (imagine what everyone would be saying if Murray was up a set and a break after calling the trainer in the first set and limping around early in the second but let's not get into that  ).

Kim is wearing a rather amusing "Parental Advisory - Explicit Content" t-shirt in response to the other day and the fallout.

Disorderly fans being escorted out I believe.

Yup! I saw the replay of the point. Murray hit a beautiful dtl backhand that forces Djokovic to scramble to his forehand side. And instead of Murray hitting the forehand in the open court he hit right back to Djokovic. Murray had time to hit the forehand to the open court too. He set up quickly and boom hit right back to Djokovic.

Those are the type of shots that could win or lose you the tiebreak or the match.

Lol! I think you're being a bit harsh on us. If Andy had had a fall like Novak and was nursing an injury we would all respect that. Andy's problem is, in the past, he starts holding his hip or flexing his knee for no discernible reason... when the going gets tough. Perhaps Novak used to do that when he was young, but not now he's the alpha dog
