An excellent first set of tennis!

These two are putting on a show.

A comedy show ? :s It had good patches but a lot of passive, error filled breaks too.

Andy's act is unwatchable; probably time for me to go to bed! Sets that run over an hour is just not what I call entertaining tennis! :cover :nono

They reckon on channel 7 that he might have a pinched nerve.

If that's the case he should hit out and try to take it to Andy. Playing safe doesn't cut it at this level

Nope, I'm enjoying this match thoroughly.

That service loss is just another example that Andy is not quite Big 3 level. The guy on the other side of the court is in serious trouble. And you gift him an easy service game. Deary me...

Disoriented self-imploder in the first two games of the set. Superman in the third game.

I will repeat it is hard to be a fan of Muzz when he is playing like this.

Djoker clenches the fist as if he won the set through being a tough cookie, but really, this isn't vintage stuff. Neither of them seemed to have the necessary in the trouser department to take the set...

Djokovic is tough but his level vacillates so severely within sets at times that it hardly matters how tough he is deep-down.

Djokovic is only tough conditionally. Just as often he can be a wimp...

The problem is that he doesn't have any sort of natural explosive mentality in his game. He has to take himself to such an extreme to be an aggressive shotmaker that being that way simply isn't sustainable.

Murray's shots are just so often neutral and unexceptional.

Agreed, in a way. I don't think it's that he becomes a wimp so much as that he is not constant point-to-point, and that probably owes to how he trains and prepares.

That's true. He needs to overcome his instincts in order to play aggressively

These guys are being more aggressivethan when they usually play, which is leading to errors. Still it's pretty painful grueling tennis to watch. The level of physical exertion required is crazy.

Quite amazed Djokovic got back on level terms and isn't down 0-3 the way he's been playing.
