It starts tomorrow here in Australia. Here is the draw:

Predictions? Thoughts? I very much look forward to seeing Delpo play for the first times in ages. Nick Kyrgios vs. JJ should be an interesting counter, too. Tomic can technically win this thing if he can be bothered to put the effort in. In fact, it's hard to pick a winner because there doesn't appear to be a distinctively clear favourite. Should be an interesting tournament.

I don't mean to rain on Apia International's Tournament for the 1st day of play,I live in Sydney and we have had constant rain all night,it is currently 8.45am the rain is still constant.Apia International, hasnt a roof on it's main stadium, only partially covered, the rest of the courts have no cover at all. There will be rain delays for the 1st day of play.

Very glad for del Potro, but, at least from the highlights, his bh looks rather soft. All top spin bh's I saw landed before the service line.

Yeah, he said it needs work. Forehand still works though.

Personally I feel Del Potro is playing Apia just to test his wrist out,he said he is still feeling pain in his wrist,he still has intention of playing at the Australian Open.

I'm not surprised, really. Kyrgios really needs to work on his fitness and concentration - he'll be going into the AO, a best-of-5-set tournament, with only one competeive match under his belt.

You haven't heard the latest news regarding Kyrgios? he is in doubt for the AO,after his match,he has suffered a left knee injury also his back isnt 100%,he was having 3 physio sessions a day just to play at Apia. Also there were rumors afloat that he has 'stress fractures in his back' his camp denied it.

He started well the season, beating Seppi: 6-3, 7-6.

Tomic and Troicki also looked strong yesterday:
Tomic - Sijsling 6-1, 6-2
Troicki - Klizan 6-2, 6-3
