That's the right call. Nobody expects you to pick Wawrinka or Dimitrov for the sake of *honesty.* You have the advantage of hind-sight, so you lose a few points. I'm glad you're playing, though. Remember, we'll carry this challenge through the USO, so better to be in the pool.

Same advice to anyone who is sitting out because they think they're too late. (Hint, hint.)

OK, I got the late-comers in - ftan, rahulpawar, and Bounce It!

The penalty is 3 points per day. From what I gather, rahulapawar posted his picks very early on the 3rd day, and ftan towards the end, and Bounce It! after the end of the third day. So I'm going to dock rahulpawar 6 points, and ftan and Bounce It! 9 points each. I'd like to be more lenient, but considering all of the early upsets it wouldn't be fair to everyone else to not dock the proper amount. PM me if anyone has an issue with this.

Ha ha, true - but even so, you were so far ahead that you still have a 1 point lead. Next time don't be late!

I was thinking about whether 3 points per day was too harsh, but considering who went out in the first round (and first two days) - Wawrinka, Dimitrov, Nishikori, Haas, and Almagro - it seems to make sense. Poor Murat lost the W, SF, and QF in just the first round - that's 16 possible points off the board! (They can still be partially made up with the WC and DH). Anyhow, I came to the conclusion was right balance.

When GGL beat Stan, and then continued on, I was bummed I hadn't picked him as my WC. But I just looked back. I DID pick him as my WC! :snigger Hopefully he beats Monfils so I can get a few points off of him.

I did, too. I forgot in this challenge we get points for the DH progressing. In the other one, we only get points if they win. This is good news. And so when Rafa wins, we'll be cleaning up! :
