Hint: The rook moves horizontally or vertically.

Well, there won't be any Triple Crown for California Chrome this year. Thirty-seven years since it's been done. Having Secretariat, Seattle Slew and Affirmed win it within 5 years of each other, is like having Fed, Rafa and Nole playing in the same generation. It may be a long time before we ever see anything like it again.

I just watched. Disappointed. But it's a good comparison…we sometimes take this for granted, and forget how hard (and rare) what these guys are doing is. I'm going to hope that, if Roger is Secretariat and Rafa is Seattle Slew, Novak is more California Chrome than Affirmed. You'll have to forgive me for that, nehmeth. :hug

Good thing Novak and Boris are great at tennis, because a quick glance at the chess board reveals that they're probably not that good at chess. People who play chess will understand.

Did anyone notice there is a doubles final going on?
#12 seeds against #11 seeds
Spaniards against French.
Interested?

I was interested, unfortunately was not home. But I am super delighted about the outcome!!!
Especially for Julien Benneteau who failed so many times to grab an ATP title!

Benneteau with Roger Vasselin won the first slam final for France after Noah and Laconte in 1984!
It is their first slam title in doubles, after they teamed up only recently ( they had success in doubles with different partners before).
And for a change, they are not just double specialists, both having decent top 100 ranking at the moment

I don't see why he put a photograph like that up on FB if there were anything wrong with his wrist. It may be part of how they protect it when he's not playing?

There's nothing wrong with his wrist. That's either a chess cheat sheet or he's a Tom Brady wannabe.;)

Really? The guy who has never smashed a racquet? Who argues with the chair less than basically anyone? Who drags his own clay practice courts? You must have your reasons that you think he isn't though. I'll be standing by.
