69% of those in the poll think this will be a 4 setter, not an epic 5 setter or a 3 set blowout. This suggests most people feel that one guy is going to be a bit off, while the other is pretty much dialed in. History says Rafa, the poll says Novak. Until Novak shows he can rise to the occasion at RG, you have to pick Rafa.

Cheers!

LOL, I wasn't aware of this: Apparently, when Djokovic first played Nadal at the FO in 2006 (you know, the match that prompted the whole "he's not unbeatable" press conference), Novak wrote "Vamos Nole" on his shoes. Steven Tignor mentioned that. Young Novak was a confident fellow.

Yeah, and Rafa also said as a response that he thought Novak was struggling from the first few games onwards. Let's see who will do most of the struggling today.

Hi, Denisovich. You ready?

Yes. Let the battle begin. 2 more hours.

I know you're all waiting to see how I will vote. :D I won't call this one. The momentum swings in their matches are insufferable and too many to calculate any advantage for one player over the other. I will say this, if Novak allows this to slip through his fingers yet again he will be inconsolable and likely shed :cry .

Ready to call it now, K? :please:

Longest ... two ... hours ... ever ...

Honestly, I think the two or more hours following these two hours will be the longest ever.

No, I think they'll fly by in the blizzard of on-court activity.

BB, are we going to have a live chat?

Also anybody making an exciting breakfast? (Or whatever meal time it is, where you are)

I am gonna make an awesome mexican scramble: eggs, chorizo, black beans, garlic, spinach, with some salsa and guac.

Therefore, Rafa has just over a 68% win rate in Slam finals. Novak: 50%. Just sayin'…for those that like to quote betting odds as if they matter.

Neither are good %'s but so far Djoker's is abominable. He also holds no slams currently so he is in desperate need to show he can still play on the big stage.

His record is fine enough. Rafa and Novak have faced each other in 6 slam finals, obviously that's going to impact their record. He's not playing in a weak era facing players like Hewitt, Roddick and Bagdhatis.

Fluffy Omelettes (whip the whites before adding yolks), with Salsa, Havarti cheese, (low sodium) Virgina Baked Ham. Served with Sourdough toast, butter and Starbuck's Veranda coffee.

Company coming. May only get to see the first half hour and have to DVR the rest.
