kskate2, you mentioned hitting the ball right back to the opponent earlier. Well, Sock just made a horror shot there right back to Raonic. Awful.

Oh my word what a let off from a really weak performance from Raonic.

How is Jack Sock going to sleep tonight? Several break point chances in the last two sets and the 6th point in the breaker there where he was in the rallies and just couldn't find the right shot.

For someone who got in as a WC in the event and playing against #5 seed, to lose the
match in the third set tie breaker is no shame. Great fight by Jack.

It was as of last month. Did you see that article where she kept running her mouth to the reporter while he was in the car?

No, but I'll look for it.

Here is the OOP for Wednesday in which all the remaining 14 second round matches are scheduled.

I see one or two upsets happening on the stadium (not the one you are thinking of).

Now that the day is almost over, let me fess up. I was expecting Novak to lost to Monfils
and Milos to lose to Jack. Came close on both fronts, but did not get the job done on either.

Bit late with tomorrow's schedule aren't they? Waiting to see if Raonic got through that match, I suppose...

It looks like they're having Nole and Jo Willy on Stadium in the day session and Roger in the evening looking at the website.

He did blow some real chances, but Raonic is the sturdier player, and it's reasonable to see him get through when the match is that tight. Sock should take some positives from the match, though.

Oh, actually I did read that one before.

(And the blush is not for forgetting that I read it.)

Andy too good. Oh, well, Nick did well - after all, it was his first tournament since Wimbledon and he dealt with the pressure really well.

Shocked to see Monfils challenge Djokovic all the way to the wire.

Back from the Rexall Centre toasted ands dehydrated, like I was playing all those sets.
My points:
1 Amdy played well, but he did not get tested. Kyrgios was a big disappointment, not anywhere close to expectatioms. BH weak, finds the net very often on simple ground strokes and FH not very steady either. A long way to go before he becomes (if ever) a big time player.

2. Nole drove me bonkers. A good set followed by a weak one with a disaster of a Tb and playing poor tennis up to the closing TB when he stepped up finally while le Monf stepped down.

#. Dimitrov also managed to serve out a weak sandwich, a poor set in between 2 good ones. He still has to be a lot more shaper if he wants to make inroads into th final stages of these events. otherwise he will linger there where he is, in and out of the top 10.

It had to be very disappointing for him amd Young that the attendance after the Nole -Le Monf match deserted the stadium, probably 95% of them left.
