Novak doesn't know the rules on contacting the ball over the net?

Color me highly skeptical.

Sour loser eh? Since when is Novak supposed to play tennis and chair at the same time? It's already great that he does it often enough.

Until the first point of the 12th game of the first set, it was a high quality match. It was a horrible call from the umpire, but Murray should have shook that controversial call off his mind. Unfortunately, he could not so he played a blazing fast paced until the end of the match.

Well done Novak. Good match from both players, really enjoyed it. Too bad the ump kind of ruined the outcome of the first set.

First it looks like Andy's back even if he lost this match.Umpire made a huge cock up @ a important time.Maybe things might have been different but we will never know.

Djoker stated afterwards that he told Murray at the net during their brief exchange that he thought he was allowed to proceed with the progression of the racket over the net.. he said, " I am unsure of the Rule" .. Djoker is Full of yesterday's Lunch!:laydownlaughing

Sour loser? What on earth are you talking about? I'm no Murray fan, and I certainly don't give a rip about the outcome of this match.

I also said not a word about Novak playing chair umpire and tennis, but sure why not.

However, Novak saying afterwards he doesn't know the rules about when you can contact the ball? That's unbelievable to me. Even Cahill afterward voiced similar thoughts. It's a basic rule. Everyone, including Novak, knows that rule.

Ah I see you are also not looking forward to Novak potentially playing your guy.

It's the ump's mistake. I thought too that you could proceed with the racket over the net as long as you hit it before. It should have been the ump's job to verify it, not Novak's.

No No.. I always want Djoker.. I will say it again. If all things hold true, It will always be Rafa vs Djoker in the Finals.. They are and have been by Far the best two and top players on the tour over the past 4 -5 years..

For the record, I'm not bashing Novak for not conceding that point. That's all on the umpire.

But if you believe that this is the first time this situation has presented itself Novak's entire life. I have some beach front property in North Dakota I would like to sell you.

Exact same thing happened to me. Figured I would catch the third set, but was pleasantly surprised that it was already over. Novak has to be building some steam now!

Yeah, Fed's up in 3 hours.

See if Nishi can do his Sampras impression at serving again! :)

Or see if Rodge can avenge that pitiful loss from Madrid last year. Kei's a tough cookie though and plays very clean so it won't be easy. If the wind picks up it'll help Fed a lot.

Good on you. Love those finals too, although I don't mind Rafa losing here and there.

Could you point me to all these posts saying Novak did something wrong? Because I saw one person call him a "cheet" and everyone else rightfully blaming the ref.

I'm honestly quite confused lol.

allright, you're correct, I was being a bit too defensive I guess. Stupid point in any event.
