Such a simple plan. Give the rival a false sense of success in first set, then wow and shock him in second set in a way that she cant recuperate from the shock and that rival is dead meat in the third set.
Living in the jungle and thats how the animals survive  It works so many times...

If she wins easily she loses the most talked about characteristic: her mental fortitude, coming back from behind etc etc. And, in case you didn't know, this is also the reasoning behind her double faults, she needs those so she can get back strongly like a true champion from the hole she dug for herself.

Sad to see Ana retire. Must be too exhausted. I expect more upsets than usual as the season nears the end. I think Serena will survive Cornet this time.

Serena will be out for blood in this one. Cornet has beaten her twice this year.

Serena had better hit the ball, not spin it in. Anything weak and Cornet will bring her to net and make her volley which is Serena's worst shot.

And she's lorded and praised for those 3 setters. I mean they rattle off the #'s like it's the best thing that since slice bread. "Anyone else" would be put down and then claim that the person is not playing well and is not mentally strong....all I can do is SMH.

Don't know why you say that is Serena's worst shot because it's not. Serena can do it all.

Exactly, remember P3tra? In her case all those 3 setters she played were a sign of her weakness, poor girl cannot close in 2. For Masha, they're a sign of her mental prowess. Give me a break!

TOTALLY agree with this. It's like you can't really start predicting a Maria match until the second set because it usually takes at least half a set for her to wake up.

In regards to Petra I have followed her career since she came on the tour and she does have 'mental weakness' I really dont think you can use her as a example.

I know that, but really, you can agree that you can see the glass half full or half empty in regards to 3 setters, why not P3tra is a sign of mental fortitude? Toughing out the result in 3? This is the default mode of discussion for Masha, for Petra is the opposite. It is unfair.
