France are looking incredible right now.
Monfils at the absolute top of his game.
Tsonga close to the top of his game.
Looks like their year :clap

They're still France, though. It's still Tsonga. It's still Monfils... :nono

One of the playoffs is between Serbia and India. It is being played in India and Novak has
withdrawn from it citing fatigue (just an excuse).

India is represented by Somdev Devvarman and Yuki Bhambri in singles and
Paes will play with somebody in doubles.

Serbia is not only without Novak, it is also without Tipsy who is still out of commission.
Despite all of this, I think Serbia will win as they have a good singles player in Dusan
and good doubles player in Zimonjic.

That and I wouldn't say Tsonga is close to the top of his game. He's had one great tournament in the last year plus but other than that he's been struggling.

Just a quick note DC order of play. On Friday, #1 of one country will play the #2 of
the other country and vice versa. Which one of these matches is held first is determined
randomly (by a coin toss ahead of time). On Saturday, the doubles takes place.
On Sunday, the #1 of both countries face first and then if needed #2 of both
countries face for the last match.

The key point here is that if for some reason the Swiss-Italy does not get over
by Saturday, the first match on Sunday will be featuring Fed as he is #1 Swiss
right now. Last time in QF against Kazak Fed played the fifth tie as Fed was #2 Swiss

It looks like the Swiss Italy matches start at 7:00 EDT on Friday and Saturday and
6:00 EDT on Sunday. There is no hope of me watching it live.

Tsonga has only got to beat Federer, whom he beat at Toronto :clap
Monfils must like his chances too, after what we saw at the US Open.
And Wawrinka is a mess of random failures.

Roger and Stan are better than Tsonga and Monfils. Regardless I wouldn't be surprised if France doesn't make it.

Well I'd certainly love to wager A LOT of real money against that happening...

Break point wasted by Roger.

Here is what I would say to Roger every single time he has a BP on a second serve: Move to your backhand and get ready to unleash a huge forehand. You do not have to go for the lines, just make sure it is deep and big. What is the downside? Nothing really...if you time your move right and the opponent does not see it, you have a nice forehand. If the opponent sees your move and changes his mind to go to your forehand, he might pull it off but he might also DF because not everyone can change their mind in mid toss and pull it off. And if the server comes up with a really nice wide serve and jams you or even force you to hit a backhand, you will hit that weak chip return anyways, so you have nothing to lose.

Basically there is no downside to moving to your backhand and unleashing the big one.

Nice" win from Richie, he played very well. Tsonga lead 2 sets to O vs Rosol. Hope we''ll be 2/0 this afternoon. Our team seems very motivated this time, happy to see this feeling
