Fed wins the tie breaker with NO ROOM FOR ERROR play. 7-0. That is how you
should win when there is no room for error.

2 more sets to go.

The Swiss are making heavy weather of this DC run, aren't they?

In the mean time, France registers on the scoreboard. It is not too late for them to
win the tie either.

The brits have also won the doubles. But, I expect Andy to lose to Fog on clay.
Hence, I also expect the Italians to win the tie. Fog is in form and likes clay.
Andy is not in form and does not like clay. 2+2 = 4.

Good call GSM!

Fed donates the break up with a DF on deuce followed by a shank.

Back on serve, 3-2.

Fed breaks again. It is 4-2.

Hopefully, he will consolidate this time.

The swiss finally get it done even though they took a scenic route.

It is 7-6 (7-0), 6-2, 6-3 for Fed in the last rubber.

Next up semifinals.

France vs. Czech @ France

Swiss vs. Italy @ Swiss.

I am glad that France won their tie with Germany. I like France's chances of winning
against Czech and then losing against Swiss. It is a road game for Swiss against
either opponent in the finals.

Berdych says he wants to play only home ties. But, I am sure he will change his
mind as the "away" game is within Europe and as it is going to be played after all
four grand slams are over.

In case you are wondering, all this drama is artificially created by Swiss (hehe) so that

a. The swiss folks can see all the five match and not cause riots like the German fans
in 1st round. ;)

b. Fed can get 130 points out of this tie towards his rankings, instead of just 65 as
only live rubbers count towards ranking points.

I have shattered my own record by posting eight consecutive messages in this thread.
Next, I will shoot for 9 when the SFs come around.

So long folks.

Fed has 10-0 record against Seppi and 2-0 record against FFF.

Wawrinka has a 8-3 record against Seppi and 3-1 record against FFF.
However, Wawrinka has never lost to either one of them on hard courts.

Hence, expect the Swiss to stick to Indoor Hardcourts and also to the same
city Geneva and the same stadium.

Go Swiss!!!
