So is it safe to say the winner of this tournament will come from the other side of the draw?

It's safe to say Nadal wins his 14th major IMO. I'll be rooting for Stan nonetheless. Big opportunity to make a slam final.

Who ever said that net play was dead. It's not so much that it will win games for you, but it definitely can lose some for you.

:snigger too true.

I know it's easy to say this in hindsight, and we would have all praised him for having the guts to serve and volley on match point had he made it (and he SHOULD have made that volley, no question... It was a simple put away)...BUT, just let the ball drop and hit a forehand dude.

This might not be career ending for Nole but his career seems to be in a tailspin again

He just came off a 28 win streak... :puzzled you're overreacting, but the level was definitely lacking here.

The brunt of that is non slams. slams are what matters and that's where he plays his worst.

That was predictable Broken, Nole was cracking all set

"Predictable" is unfair to say about an upset, but Novak didn't have his best day.

No I meant the end of that match ending with bad errors.

The way he was playing from the baseline? I'd like to see the points won for 4-9 shot rallies that set, it'd be ugly for Nole.

Nothing is safe. Nadal, Murray and Federer are still in.

From this point on, Djokovic is hoping Wawrinka doesn't land on his half of the draw in Majors.

Great match from Stan "The Man" Wawrinka, he had a lot of nerves of steel. Now, let's hope he can back it up against Berdych!

By the way, Nadal's chances of completing his second career slam just skyrocketed through the roof. But, he still needs take care of business.

Massive opportunity for Roger. Beat Murray, hope Rafa succumbs to the blisters and then handle Stan in the final.

Equally big opportunity for Rafa. Hopefully that blister gets better and we see #14.

Murray also has real hope now.

Regardless, it will be good to see a new champion.

What happens to Boris now?

Time to stop the bleeding - fire Becker

I think you're right. Would be a bit embarrassing for both of them though, but who cares. But who to hire? Gilbert?

Nole's problem is within. We know he has a lot of game but the last 2+ years he hasn't shown it much.

Big opportunity for all of them for sure. I hope Roger takes this opportunity to try to keep turning back the clocks. Rafa looked awful yesterday, Murray might not be at full flight and Nole's gone. Good time for him to remember who he was.

Darth, I was trying to make a little comedy out of a loss. He's not brought his best in the big matches these past two years I agree.
