Becker sure improved those volleys....

OK seriously, what the hell was that? 4 unforced errors, two of them being absolutely garbage, and Novak's amazing run at the AO comes to an end...

This might not be career ending for Nole but his career seems to be in a tailspin again

Nole's returning and everything except his serve has been so weak that he really might not pull this off

When's the last time Novak lost a match like this to someone not named Nadal?

Murray at the US Open. Nole hasn't lost to any non elite players at slams since 2010

I hope you're not equating those things.

That loss was in 2011, how was I equating Murray with non elite

Well, this really sucks. That was an awful performance by his standards. Kudos to Stan to not let it slip in the fifth.

Who ever said that net play was dead. It's not so much that it will win games for you, but it definitely can lose some for you.

Well, Wawrinka had him on the ropes twice last year but this year his legs didn't desert him. I actually missed up to 2 sets to 1 to Stan as I went to bed late, set my alarm thinking I'd get up 2 hours later and turned it off and only got up 2.5 hours later. Very entertaining match but Stan is probably too wrecked to do any damage next match.

A Stan and Berdych semi, who'd have thought, pretty sure Rafa will have a bye in the final :(

"Predictable" is unfair to say about an upset, but Novak didn't have his best day.

It was just one match. It happens. He's had much worse losses and recovered.

So is it safe to say the winner of this tournament will come from the other side of the draw?

He just came off a 28 win streak... :puzzled you're overreacting, but the level was definitely lacking here.

Brilliant, actually. Never thought of it that way.
