The Tournament:

The Canadian Open (also known as the Canada Masters, and known as the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank for sponsorship reasons) is an annual tennis tournament held in Canada. The men's competition is a Masters 1000 event on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour. The women's competition is a Premier 5 tournament on the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) tour. The competition is played on hard courts.

The events alternate from year to year between the cities of Montreal and Toronto. In odd-numbered years, the men's tournament is held in Montreal, while the women's tournament is held in Toronto, and vice versa in even-numbered years. Before 2011, they were held during separate weeks in the July/August period, now the two competitions are held during the same week in August. The Toronto tournament is held at the Aviva Centre, York University, and the Montreal tournament is held at the Stade Uniprix. Src: Wiki

About Montreal

Montréal is the largest city in Canada's Québec province. It’s set on an island in the Saint Lawrence River and named after Mt. Royal, the triple-peaked hill at its heart. Its boroughs, many of which were once independent cities, include neighbourhoods ranging from cobblestoned, French colonial Vieux-Montréal – with the Gothic Revival Notre-Dame Basilica at its centre – to bohemian Plateau.

A lot of interesting match ups and/or good quality R1 and (potential) R2 matches.

I was writing down the ones I found interesting, but most of them are, so the list would feature more than 50% of the matches.

Could be they were all gunned down in a drive-by too. Most people know OG as Original Gangsta :p

Fine, you just created a new excuse/explanation for the incoming next Federer title. He hired gangsters to force players out.

Actually...O.G.: Original Gangsta is an Ice T album\song from 1991 that's the starting point the low budget flick that came out in 1996. Explicit lyrics...of course...

Do we have an official list of broadcasters for this tournament on any site? The official website does not actually mention the channel for broadcasting in India. Is there a way to know? I need to book the channel on my DTH.

Even if you cannot watch it live, you can listen to live commentary on "tennis radio" which is newly started.

I also for the life of me can't find which channels will broadcast Montreal this year in Serbia. Probably the same one as last year, but who knows really.
Anyway, if all else fails, google HD tennis ru.
They literally stream everything in HD. And you get English commentary, usually.
Fantastic site. I am not pushing an agenda or anything, just trying to help fellow posters.

Tower of Tandil vs. Tower of Greensboro seems to be the main attraction on Monday at Montreal.

Del Potro one hold away from beating Isner.
