Jazz was interviewed on court after the match,
"Thats the first time your've won 3 matches in a row since the US Open that has to mean a lot for your confidence?
Jazz smiled and said Come On! :)

Next match up,
Sabalenka v Collins the defending champion
Saba has been changing her spots with her serve with good results in the 1st set and has been able to neutralize Collins serve, still a close contest between these 2 big hitters
Saba 1st set 64
Saba did have 2 MPs in Collins service game but could not convert
Saba will serve for the match 5-4
Saba 64 64, Saba did not face a BP all match, she takes out the defending champion, who didnt give up all match
Saba leads their H2h now 7-0, Saba good off the ground today.

Quite frankly I wasnt expecting Anisimova to win against Raducanu, after a tough 3 set match against Andreeva yesterday, had a MTO at one stage I thought Amanda was going to retire
Raducanu had a retirement in her match from Kessler with a back injury
Raducanu 61 63

Linette wins the 1st set 64 over Gauff
Gauff has to address her UFE and also her DFs for the 2nd set

It's the same ole tune w/ Coco. She plays well one day, but cannot sustain that level. Not sure what's happening there, but it has to be mental or lack of focus

Untimely DFs have cost her in this match up so far, she broke Linette in he 2nd set, DFs didnt help her cause and was broken straight back,
Coco has changed the grip on her serve, sometimes it works, I would like to see her employ a Bio Mechanic serve specialist for awhile like Saba has done to work on her serve, its her 2nd serve that needs attention ASAP

Coco Gauff too many UFE, DFs as well, and Linette takes out the No 3 seed 64 64
Hopefully Gauff has a better clay court season

Paula Badosa withdrew ( back) I am not surprised she had the trainer out twice in her last match) meaning WC Eala gets a walkover to the next round

Finally after a long 3 set mens match the last womens match
Swiatek vs Svitolina, doing their warm up.
Iga gets her 2nd break of the 1st set, can she consolidate the break this time and win the 1st set 75
Elena's 2nd serve has been her down fall in this match so far
Broken again, there will be a TB for the 1st set
Iga with a bh winner has SP 6-5 not many points separated these 2 players in the TB
Iga wins the 1st set 76(5)
It has always been a 'battle' between Iga and Elena, Iga gets the break and consolidates
Iga 4-1 2nd set
Just as I thought Iga was going to run away with the match, her serve goes AWOL and Elena fights back, Elena to serve 3-4 2nd set
Iga breaks again, as Elena bh long
Iga to serve for the match 5-3
In a roller coaster of a match, which finished just after Midnight Swiatek d Svilolina 76(5) 63, Elena played tough right to the end

One of the biggest reasons why I hate Miami is the extended rain delays. I hope this Masters gets moved to Charlotte.
Cant control the weather, maybe a roof is needed, first time in this tournament has been in delay to rain

Sabalenka d Zheng 62 75
Zheng had chances in the 2nd set, but when she converted she could not go on with them, despite Sabalenka and her serving issues
Sabaenka now extends her H2H 6-0 over Zheng and she is into the SFs for the first time

Zheng is too dense. Out there trying to play hardball w/ Saba. That's why she has a losing record against her. The people who trouble Saba the most are folks who possess variety and can disrupt her rhythm, plus it really helps to hold your serve.
