Draper looks to be capped as a 10-15 guy, who might dip into the lower half of the top 10. I could see him sneaking in a Masters, though, especially in the "Coric-Popyrin era."

Before the tournament it was 2021 according to Tennis Abstract, or #6. He's probably a few points above that now and has passed Grigor for #5.

(Note that TA's Elo is lower than UTS...and there is another version or two out there. I tend to use TA because it is updated weekly, while UTS seems to be on a once-a-year schedule. Plus, Jeff Sackmann is sort of the God of Tennis Analytics, so I'm guessing his formula is a touch more accurate than UTS, but haven't dived into the differences).

That said (re: my assertion that he's more of a Masters-level champion), he does seem to be a candidate to go on a micro-Stanimal run at some point. There might be another octave, in other words. But as of right now, I put him in the same general group as Ruud, De Minaur, and Paul...solid second tier guys that that are more Slam darkhorses than candidates.

Waiting for mrzz to find his 11 year old self :)
Draper will rise to a career high No 12, regardless of his 'collapse' in the 3rd set, he should not be having struggling, fitness issues, this was a best of 3 match.
Draper is also entered in Dubai tournament which starts shortly

Andrey Rublev credited his mental approach after beating Jack Draper 75 57 61 to win the Qatar Open for the second time on Sunday.
"I was really good mentally and didn't let frustration get over me" Rublev said
"As soon as I was frustrated I was able to restart again and I was able to play at the same intensity.Thats the most important thing:".

ATP500 Acapulco 24th February - 1 March,
Top seed Zverev faces a tough draw, after leading in his last 2 events on the clay in his matches, he let them slip and was defeated before getting to the final in both events
Zverev faces Matteo Arnaldi in his 1st rd match, then will meet Shapovalov in the 2nd rd, if he wins both matches could meet Cam Norrie ( former top ten player)
Kecmanovic, Machac Mensik are potential QF opponents.4th seed Rune or Shelton 5th seed, are seeded to play Zverev in the SFs

In the bottom half of the draw, Ruud No 2 begins against Rinderknech and is seeded to play Tiafoe in the QF. Ruud advanced to the title match in Mexico last season and is chasing his first title of the year. 3rd seed Paul is in the same section as Musetti. Both start against a qualifier
Musetti has just withdrew and a LL will take his place
