As you know, usually the player that plays the Big Points well, in a tight match, usually will win the match
True.. FAA does little things incredible wrong in the big points. e.g. He had a few perfect drops .. Rublev runs to the net and FAA casually follows but pushes the volley wide instead of smacking it in the court

Jiri will serve to force a TB for the 2nd set 5-6
A love service game from Jiri just what he needed before the TB for the 2nd set
Draper to serve first
Draper played a great TB 76(2) error free, Jiri shaky, too many free points from him, also ufes on his best shot his fhand let him down
Going 3

Jiri throws in a DF and is broken and Draper to serve 4-3 in the 3rd set
Draper consolidates the break to lead 5-3 and he seems to have got into Jiri's head especially in this 3rd set
Draper has had only 5 UFE in this 3rd set, has kept it tight
Draper with MP, Jiri found a good 1st serve and fhand winner
Draper with MP No 2
Draper d Lehecka 36 76(2) 6-3
Draper will meet Rublev in tomorrows final

I've watched only the last few games, but this is rather boring. Lehecka is a whiny bitch.
First 2 sets were worth watching, Draper got into Jiri's head, he just ran out of answers in the 3rd set and had poor body language

Mrzz if you are around ,
Interesting comments from Del Potro regarding Fonseca's game,
"He is spectacular, big game, a lot of potential. The speeds, his evolution. The way he is getting better. He needs an emotional support.
" In Brazil, like in Argentina, people first say you are the best and quickly you become the worst. It's tough".

I just surfed by a few times! Jiri was out of there very quickly after MP so I guess he wasn't happy about something! Too bad! After big upset of Carlos, he goes out in the next round! Deflates the win just by a little bit! Very impressive comeback by Jack! Rublev made the final by the skin of his teeth! Might be the start of a good Spring for the "hair dude!" :face-with-tears-of-joy::yawningface::fearful-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

BTW with Jack winning the SF he is up to No 12 in the live rankings before making the final in Doha
If Draper win the final tomorrow he moves to No 11 in the ATP rankings

Thanks mrzz
Found a quote in Portuguese, he was in Rio but probably spoke in Spanish. Anyway translation from Spanish to Portuguese in general is easier, also a lot of Spanish speakers (some native) in the Brazilian press, so probably a good translation. Below the reviewed Google translation:

He has a great game and a lot of potential. The speed at which he is evolving is incredible. In Brazil It is as in Argentina: One moment they love you and the next they hate you. I think playing in Rio was a special tournament, he had just come from playing in Buenos Aires and was tired. Besides, the pressure is something that drains his energy and he is only an 18-year-old boy, so we have to think about that before criticizing him.

Tennis is a sport where things last a long time, we have to be patient so that they can take advantage of it. There are cases where too much pressure ends up exploding and doesn't provide anything. As a Latin American, I would like him to continue growing and be able to win a Grand Slam. Latin American tennis, with Fonseca and the Argentines, can return to the spotlight of world tennis. Fonseca can be the flag bearer of South American tennis in the coming years.

Rublev's bhand at present is working a treat in the early stages of this match
One of my commies is British, is a bit over the top with Draper , I now know everything about him since he was a toddler:)
Looks like we are headed to a TB for the 1st set
