Oops bad memory from me lol! I thought the s/final was in 2017 against Serena.Agree things would have to align for Karolina,her best surface to me is on the h/court.

She plays a lot of events and never seems to get tired.I think she should skip some of the events just before a slam.

Just tuning into Barty v Martic match
Early breaks of serve in the 1st set
Ash is playing much better than yesterday,quite frankly she needed to.
Ash 4-2
Of course the minute I said Ash was playing better she gets broken,back on serve,Martic to serve 3-4
Both players use their slice well,good technique by both players.....5 games all
Barty saving 2 BPs with good serving and placement 6-5,Martic will serve to force a t/breaker in the 1st
set.
A Slice-A-Thon and this time Martic wins the point lol!

Closely fought t/breaker both players had SP,Barty raised her level and won 76(6)

Sloppy game from Ash,1st serve not working at all,Martic gets the early break in the 2nd set leads 3-1
Martic consolidates the break leads 4-1
Martic playing well in the 2nd set,more patience especially on her fhand wing,serve has been most impressive she leads 5-2,Ash is all over the place,she has played okay in patches though not as consistent as she should be.
Martic will serve for the 2nd set 5-3
A love service hold to win the 2nd set from Martic 6-3,well deserved,we are going the distance in this match,both ladies have similar games,it has been an interesting match so far.

Barty gets broken to love in her opening service game,a DF does not help her cause,Martic is continuing her good form in set no 2.Martic not getting her first serve in,she was made to pay for it from Ash,who gets the break immediately.
Some wonderful points in this match from both players,Martic needs to work on her ball toss,too high and forward resulting in DFs

Ash breaks as Martic DF and will serve for the match 5-3

Barty d Martic 76(6) 36 63.....these 2 players are really mirrors of one another,some great court craft,
enjoyable match....well done ladies

Barty will play either Sabalenka or Rybakina in the s/final.

Just finished watching highlights match between Sabalenka v Barty....actually I was not surprised with the result,Ash to me is still not playing to her ability,has been up and down in this tournament,I hope her achilles wont be a problem in Beijing.Well done to Sablaenka defending champion making the final,also well done to Alison Riske who has made her first Premier Final,defeating Svitolina and Kvitova to reach the final.

Great start from Sabalenka taking the ball so early on both wings,her first serve has been impressive,really pushing Riske behind the baseline,Riske has been struggling on her serve,saving BPs,.Sabalenka leading 4-1,like a steam train at present.
DF from Riske and Sabalenka breaks and will serve for the 1st set 5-1
Horrid service game from Salalenka with 2 DFs,her serve up to this game has been outstanding,Riske breaks and will serve 2-5
Sabalenka will attempt for the second time to serve for the 1st set 5-3

Sabalenka will serve for the title 5-1......wins with a Ace!

Congratulations to Sabalenka winning back to back titles at Wuhan defeating Riske 63 36 61....impressive performance all week....Well done!

Well done to Alison Riske reaching her first Premier Final,with good wins over Svitolina and Kvitova,Sabalenka too strong today.
