It was a nice gift after a tough year. Rafa has nothing to be ashamed of. He beat Novak in all but the absolutely final frontier this year. Next year will be different, both have oodles of confidence. I am hoping for a new stat. Novak has career years after Nadal does.

If yesterday's level of play is an indication of anything, it's going to be a relatively straightforward affair. Something like 6 - 3 6 - 2 for Djokovic.

As a reminder :D :wow::celeb::celeb::p:devil:plot

I can't say I'm not disappointed. I was hoping Rafa would win but Novak was just too good today. Roll on 2014 is all I can say.

The dynamics in this match reminded me of 2011--Rafa trying hard to be aggressive but not able to penetrate Novak's defense, and great offense/shotmaking from Novak throughout. Rafa had that resigned look for much of the match--reminiscent of his attitude in the Wimbledon 2011 final in particular. Will be very interesting to see how this carries over into 2014. And with Murray coming back and Fed (hopefully) improving---yowza!

Amazing that Djokovic won pretty much everything after US Open. The match itself wasnt very high quality but its a significant win that should give Djokovic lot of confidence. Denying Rafa the YEC after such a successful year is no mean task. This rivalry is getting more and more interesting every tournament - cant wait for 2014.

There is no pretty much here. Novak has not lost since USO, period.

It looks like Nadal also missed a chance to become only the second player to win all 4 slams, olympic singles gold, davis cup, and a wtf.. The only player to have achieved that is...?

This was totally unfair. Next year it has to be on clay and outdoors.

Nice trivia, and Iona has the definite answer. Impressive feat for 'Dre.

Don't lampoon others' notion of unfair, which no one has called out here. You're the one still crying over line calls at the French Open.

I know who you mean. He has been umpire for matches at this year's Wimbledon and USOpen, (which has already been proven to you, in PMs.) We've told you already about trying to slur him on these forums. Your resentful, childish, and erroneous notion of revenge via slander will not be tolerated. This is your warning. Don't do it again.

Do you mean Pascal Maria? It is not proven to me. If it was you wouldn't be angry. Where are those "videos"?
