This is almost a microchip of Aus. Serena won the first set, but Ana didn't go away. Serena needs to fight. I see a low level of intensity from her

Well she fights there and forces some errors to get one of the breaks back. 4-1

In Australia Serena wasn't moving well, here, her serve is failing and Ana is stepping it up. Again, props to Ana.

Well, I think Serena thought Ana was going to go away after that first set. I think the thing that works in Ana's favor especially this year is her vast improvement, so I think a lot of players are playing her thinking she is going to crumble and in more cases than not this year she is actually playing well and not going away. I think they are used to playing possum Ana, and they aren't getting it.

Partisan crowd or just desire for a three-setter?

She's up & down Sunday. She went away against Maria in Stuttgart and there are other matches that she can't sustain the level. Serena holds 4-2. This is danger time for Ana. She needs a hold right here or I fear she will drop the next 4 games

The good news for Serena is that even if Ana holds here, if Serena can hold and make Ana serve it out and induce some nerves Serena might be able to get this back on track.

If she can make her serve it out is the question. Serena serve is all over the place. Can she put 4 good serves in to hold herself?

That is the question, that serve is quite erratic today. It went from beauty in set 1 to beast mode quickly in set 2.

I hope Serena keeps up the pressure! Stay focused and aggressive. She would be wise to employ a few body serves where necessary.
