I like Daria, but no way should she have gotten to the final let alone won this thing. She just pushes that 2nd serve in. It is a complete love offering and I'm trying to figure out why it wasn't spanked appropriately. In last year's final, the banshee was having none of it and munched on it accordingly.

Before the San Jose final between Rogers and Kasatkina

This tweet from Naomi Osaka, thankfully she decided to delete after many people questioned her? maybe she should 'engage brain before posting such tweets,

"Sometimes I wish my parents were rich so I don't have to feel like I need to work for everyone's survival"
WTH! She really is a self-absorbed tool. @Kieran named her exactly right. Naomi-me-me :negative:

In her DC debut Liudmila Samsonova wins a first career hard court title defeating Kaia Kanepi 46 63 63!

Well done Liudmila, !
Kaia you had a solid tournament reaching the final and good luck in Toronto!
Mila has been on the radar since last year's Wimby splash. I'm glad to see her managing her talent and her head.

Cutie attac. Moms returning to the tennis circuit is not new, but the way it inflicts their family - well it surprised me a bit, but the toddler was "mad" about it. Time for your "fix" ;)

The sad thing for me is, regardless being a 'self absorbed brat' it is soo disrespectful to her parents.Tennis is a very expensive sport to start with, tennis gear, also going to squads for coaching at junior lever a couple times a week, then if you are good enough, as I expect Noami was as a junior, having private lessens a couple of times a week.Without tennis and winning GS and also sponsor's it has allowed Noami to not only make a lot of money out of tennis, also to have other business deals going outside tennis, without her parents support as a junior and sacrifice Noami Osaka would not be in the position she finds herself today

I only watch the first set, this match was a contrast in styles, Shelby to me had to be patient and not over push, as she is a very flat hard hitter of the ball, Daria is a very crafty player, who uses slice etc.
Actually I thought Shelby would win the title and was surprised at the result which went to 3 sets.

Since she put her business in the street, I want to know who are all these people that rely on her for their survival.

Honestly, Shelby is still a bit inconsistent results wise. She can score a big win or 2 but rarely can she close the deal and win the tourney. I thought Daria would win on sheer headspace, but was surprised w/ Shelby's tactics and overall gameplan. I mean they had to discuss how to handle Daria's very attackable serve, right?

The serve of Daria is very attackable, agree, I was impressed with Shelby all tournament and thought she could win the tournament, again when it mattered in a final, she dosent seem to have what it takes to win a tournament.

Probably family as she indicated in her tweet, only Naomi knows who the others are, it was such a self absorbed tweet, she deleted it, after people questioned her? strange that

I get that it's family, but I didn't think her family was that large to warrant that kind of blistering tweet. She should only be fully supporting her parents and grands. Everyone else including boy toys, siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins could be assisted on as needed or desired basis.

Agree with your thoughts with helping out her parents and grands, quite frankly she should have not put her thoughts to paper and never posted that tweet in the first place, I nearly fell off my chair when I read it, I am certain I was not the only one, it really showed up Naomi in a bad way.

Paul Annacone has the best voice of the tennis analyst.. When he is analyzing a tennis player, he could make the Democrats and the Republicans agree on the same player. Paul is as smooth as and cool as the other side of the pillow.

Yep! She’s a lost cause. A narcissist. A real disappointment given how she used to be, but that can happen, I suppose!

Pls name any top player who isn't deeply a narcissist? It's part of the make-up and fabric of greatness! Michael Jordan truly was the biggest A-#ole out there, but he's still thought of as the GOAT! Same with Tiger Woods! Fedal aren't immune to the pathology! They just allow their camps and fans to bang the drum proclaiming "they're the best ever!" It's all in the POV IMO; sorry! :face-with-hand-over-mouth: :fearful-face::face-with-tears-of-joy:

Well, Rafa’s humble, I don’t need to explain. :popcorn

But there’s one thing being arrogant and believing in yourself and your abilities, and another thing being a narcissist. A narcissist is a more precious creature, focussed not on achievement but on themselves, and in gaining attention for themselves. The Jordan’s and Petes and Rafa’s of this world are focused on gaining the highest achievements - and they’re arrogant enough to believe they can succeed better than anyone else. They’re not overly concerned about whether you like them or not, or think they’re virtuous…

If you say so! :fearful-face: :face-with-tears-of-joy::astonished-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth: As for Rafa, he's just not very bright and tries not to speak on himself much at all if he can help it! :face-with-tears-of-joy::face-with-hand-over-mouth::lol6:
