So you are saying that Team Nadal is Dr Frankenstein and Iga is their monster. Jajaja

Seriously, I am surprised that more tennis stars doesn't frequent the Nadal Academy to learn how to train mentally like a champion
Bianca Adreescu recently went to Rafa's academy, Casper Rudd also trains at Rafa's academy, just to name a few players.

Olympic silver medalist Laura Robson who reached 4th rd at Wimbledon and the US OPen ( as well as the worlds top 30) as a teenager has confirmed her retirement to BBC sport.Wrist surgery and then 3 hip operations stopped her in her tracks.
"I think I'm always going to have the feeling that I could have done more, unfortunately" she said.
It’s a great pity, but it’s hard to see what more she could have done, given her injuries. She was always game, and we’ll never know how good she could have been, but hopefully she’s got some future in the sport, mentoring and coaching youngsters, helping development of the sport in the UK…

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has been forced to withdraw from RG and the rest of the tournaments this year
Due to the pain (knee) for a long time now the injury in limiting her physically and mentally to compete and practice fully.
After rehabbing for months this year and only played 3 tournaments, the last 2 tournaments has showed me, that the pain was still there and I wasn't ready, so I have decided to take more time off and come back stronger next year.

The WTA will not reduce the points at the grass court lead up events to Wimbledon. No decision has been made for Wimbledon but there is likely to be sanctions against the LTA.This follows LTA and Wimbledon banning Russian and Belarusian players.
If the WTA will not reduce the points, they are likely setting a precedence that the ATP and ITF will follow. So in other words, nothing will happen and Wimby w/ their unnecessary exclusion policy will continue to rock on unchecked.

Iga is a sweetheart, isn't she? She has to be one of the best advertisements for the sport ever. Her attitude is from the top drawer. I just hope she sustains this level through Paris, and the rest of the summer...
It's a tough ask, but not impossible. Only Venus has a 35+ match winning streak. That spanned across 2 slams, a host of smaller tournaments and the Sydney Olympic gold medal that year.

That blows. Her ranking will fall. She has RG finalist points to defend. :(

But if ole man Murray can return to the tour w/ his metal hip, w/ youth on her side, why can't she give it another go?

I hated losing Ash, but Iga makes a good replacement.

Clara Tauson still not 100% but she takes part in French Open in singles and in doubles with Abdrea Petkovic. After FO she plays two grass tournaments in England Birmingham and Nottingham before Wimbledon, where she MAYBE plays mix double with Holger Rune a Danish ATP player.

Yes but not at Roland Garros
Fixed it for you. Do you just refuse to spell "Garros" correctly because I ever once asked you to? It's a person's name. How much does that extra "R" cost you?
