Serena Williams has just posted a video via Twitter and has said she is not done with tennis and will be coming back for Wimbledon and has not mentioned anything about Patrick as her coach or ex coach.
She probably permitted Patrick to work with someone while she is still out as long as it doesn't interfere with her training routine. When she is back to playing, he will put everyone else on the back burner until she retires. Like he said, he misses coaching and she hasn't been on the court in almost a year. And it doesn't look like he's working w/ Tits or Coco anymore. He needs some new blood...

It seems weird to me because I would think given how close Wimbledon is on the heels of RG that Patrick and Serena would be working to get her back to competition levels of competing. This would be the time they should be working on strategy and putting together her return. Is he going to work with Halep for like a month or two and then go back to Serena to help her get ready for Wimbledon if that is her true intent on a return? The logistics of it make no sense if he is still her coach. It sounds like an easy way to announce a split that respects both parties.

I take your point that Patrick and Serena should be working together before Wimbledon starts, seeing the grass season does start on the heels of Roland Garos.Apparently from what we read is that Serena gave Patrick the okay to coach Halep for the clay season.,as Patrick cited he missed full time coaching.
I must admit I was taken back when I read he was going to coach Halep, though Halep had already been at Patrick's academy on the advice of Darren Cahill.after their split.
I feel Serena has to get matches and I thought she would return for the clay season, playing Rome and Roland Garos.
Serena at present seems intent on returning for the grass season,Wimbledon.
I think at this stage of her career Serena understands the physical training needed to get back to competition.
It will be a interesting few months to see what evolves between Halep and Patrick.I personally feel if Serena and Patrick were to split they would announced it now, just my thoughts.

Belinda Bencic wins the 1st set 61 over Ons Jabeur.Belinda playing well, Ons not playing well at all,she needs to cut down on her UFE ASAP,not a entertaining final so far.
Ons breaks to win the 2nd set 7-5 and off to a decider in the final.

Jabeur really needed to cut down on the UFE especially in the 1st set, also she needs to up her fitness regime,on clay, where the matches are long. Belinda held on in the 3rd set and deserved her win and title in Charleston. This is Belinda Bencic's 1st clay title
Belinda Bencic will move to No 13 ranking after winning this title.

Ons showed a lot of nervous play (poor serving, shot selection, pulling off the shots) mixed in w/ some spotty brilliance. It needs to be the reverse. She's her own worst enemy. She has so many shots to play that she needs confidence and knowledge on when to play what aka good point construction. Maybe needs to expand her coaching team to include someone to help her strategically.

I would have like to see her win. I so like her game. But thanks for the review.
