WTA announces 2021 fall calendar

The calendar consists of four new fall tournaments, in Portoroz (Slovenia), Chicago (USA), Tenerife (Spain) and Courmayeur (Italy), as well as a return of the BNP Paribas Open (Indian Wells).

National Bank Open,Montreal (presented by Rogers),

Naomi Osaka will be vying for her first National Bank title,Osaka will be seeded No 1,Aryna Sabalenka will be seeded 2,Canadian and reigning champion Bianca Andreescu will be the 4th seed,while the 2016 and 2018 champion,Simona Halep,who has a wild card into the main draw,will be seeded ninth.

The official draw will be held on Saturday,August 7th.

Some withdrawals for WTA1000 Montreal just announced,

Naomi Osaka,Iga,Swiatek,Sofia Kenin.No reason given for Osaka withdrawing.
Swiatek cited she needed rest after the Olympics
Kenin's foot injury is still ailing her.

Zhuai Zhang,Maire Bouzkova and Luidmila Samsonova will move into the main draw

Meaning Sabalenka will be the top seed....( hopefully she does not withdraw)
