Oh JJ....maybe you wanted to start the clay season a bit earlier.

She sure did, joined Roberta on the side-lines, as did Genie.

I am following the doubles match and seems like Martina and Sabine are on their way to first victory.

Maddie and Dani are on court 7

No streaming of Maddie and Dani.

The only 2 WTA matches are Venus and ARad

in a couple of hours. .....Just sucks!

Ana vs. Flavia seems to be tomorrow's highlight

Indeed.I hope Flavia dosen't have a 'let down' after her great form in IW
Another match I am looking forward to watching is Sharapova v Safarova

Aga's playing well thus far. I couldn't identify what the object was on Oprandi's face and finally realized it's a lip ring?????? Is this a first for the WTA?

Lets see if Ana can get Flavia off her high horse.

more matches in progress.
Aga hands Romina a nice glazed donut to start her Miami run.
CSN is ahead of Chanelle.
Sloane warming up to play Zarina.

Woz still waiting in the locker room.

Are Sveta and Sam playing doubles in Miami? I must admit I haven't read the full draw in the doubles :)

Yes they play doubles.

Thanks:) I was impressed by their performance in IW getting to the s/final.

Not here! They were ousted by the #4 seeds in the first round via a Super tie breaker.

The most unpredictable pair you can find. This may be a blessing for Slammin' Sammy though, she can concentrate on singles.... she is on course to clash with Serena.

Venus breaks and wins the first set 6-3

Caro ahead 5-2 in the decider, 2 points away from the match, Monica scores 4 points in a row to take the 8th game. Serving for the match, Caro has to face 2 break points before winning the next 4 points to take the match. What a roller-coaster of a match.

Caro will face Sloane next.

Well folks, Get ready for the action. No rest for the weary.

The draw is out.

Here are the projected quarterfinals assuming seeds behave.

Serena William vs. Angelique Kerber
Maria Sharapova vs. Petra Kvitova
------------------------------------------------
Simona Halep vs. Aga Radwanska
Li Na vs. Jelana Jankovic

Here is the full draw.

p.s. Note to Si Si: If Aga withdraws from Miami after the qualifying starts tomorrow,
she will be replaced by a lucky loser and Halep will get her own quarter with a pseudo
opponent. Lot better than simply having your own quarter with a real opponent.

This is funny. I thought Aga will withdraw leaving the whole quarter to Halep.
It turned out Halep withdraws, leaving the whole quarter to Aga. What a tangled
web WTA players weave.

That was a wobbly win for Caroline - more or less like a roller coaster ride - 7 df urgh - not her day but she won and that's the most important. A well deserved beer is waiting - have a good night (02.18 in Denmark).
