I'm not sure anyone said Lisicki was lucky against Serena, maybe there were some, but it was the giant killing act that didn't slay the giant killer. She's a bit cute too, so I hope she wins tomorrow...

Fun match to watch with the contrasting styles. Lisicki was tough in the big moments aside from the set long lapse following that easy volley she missed which would have made it 2-0 in the 2nd. Lisicki is quite nice on the eyes too. Seems fitting that she should win it all after the tournament she's had. Saturday should be a big hitting final that's for sure.

That was some handshake, eh?

I liked it, none of the fake pleasantries following a tough loss. The men could learn a thing or two.

So happy for Sabine! Love her power game. She topped mummy-legs and now up next is spaz-toli.

I understand the handshake. Aga could not have asked for a better opportunity to win a slam with all of the Top 3 missing. I think this was her big opportunity to win a slam. Chances of her getting an opportunity with all 3 top women missing again will probably be slim to none.

Tennisplayrla08,

I have been reading your posts and wonder why you dislike Aga. She has a ton of talent and should be given credit for doing so well despite her lack of power. I respect your insights and would love to hear a response.

Sabine showed grit. Safe to say first-time and probably one-time Slam winner will be crowned on Saturday.

That may be so, or may not, as she got this close, but she's got no one to blame but herself, blowing a 3-0 lead in the 3rd. I don't see anything wrong with displaying graciousness in defeat, when your opponent played honorably.
