Crap! Lisicki definitely should have broken there. But she didn't. So my stress remains. And it's worse because now I have to worry about Lisicki crumbling after failing to break from 40-15 up.

Wow, this match has it all, lucky net cords, missed line calls turned into ace...

If only Sabine cuts down on the errors, we will be done here.
Another must hold for Sabine to stay in it.

I really don't like the way Aggy plays tennis. It's like a gnat on an elephants husk, patiently waiting for the beast to die so it can chew on the cadaver...

Nah, Aggie is unique and plays with a lot of guile. I know why Murray likes watching her.... she's not your Bolliterri ball basher but a thinker and improviser.

Enjoy watching her personally.

Ok. I can breathe. For the time being. Hopefully Lisicki can get the break here.

She's got the break! And off a Radwanska error. Say what? Yeah. Radwanska missed a volley long. Surprising.

I guess Serena wasn't having a bad day... Lisicki just beat her.

Congrats on going to the Wimbledon final Sabine!!

I don't think Serena had a bad day. She was outplayed, period. The same thing happened today. Aga had her chances and wasn't clutch enough in the big points.

Great win for Lisicki! Pulling for her in the final seeing as I've never liked Bartoli. BUT... I do give Bartoli a chance. Bartoli has the serve and power to compete with Lisicki and she's been in the Wimbledon final before so technically should have at least a few less nerves. Plus, despite the fact that Sabine is ranked lower, I think she's the favorite in most people's mind because she's definitely come through the tougher draw. So the pressure should be on her to win. But, at the end of the day, I think we often put too much stock in that particular pressure. Some players may not let that hit them. They may successfully believe that since their the lower ranked player or less experienced player that they're not the favorite. Or if they are the favorite, they may enjoy that. I know Serena does. Though, I think being the overwhelming favorite AND that pesky winning streak, played into her not playing her most aggressive game against Lisicki.

As the English say - according to a German commentator - Doris Becker has won. Well I understand why they are happy - congrats to Sabine and Germany for the first final in Wimbledon with a German taking part since Steffi Graf in 1999 (she lost). A very exciting match delivered by 2 splendid players showing us different tennisstyles. The boom boom Sabine style and the thoughtfull patient style Aga showed. It could have gone both ways but Sabine drew the longest straw and congrats to her. :clap:clap
