Swell effort by Sam, but Cilic was too good.

Cilic wins in 4.

The funny thing about big servers such as John and Sam is that they seem to be unable to deliver an ace when they need it and double fault in important moments. Contrast this to say Fed, who can serve an ace when it is really needed. In one TB, Fed actually beat Big John 7-0.

Cilic was the better player and deserved the W. Querrey had a bit of choke in the fourth, though.

Juicic wins as expected, putting a dark stain on the game's most prestigious event.

He's made the tournament worse with his garbage changes over the years, true. But having this juicer doing well lately after his short silent ban is way worse.

^ Wow, you're off your rocker lately. Yeah Fed served a silent ban and has made tennis worse over the years. According to a Rafa fan...priceless. Carol is rubbing off on you

Sure, it isn't about being bitter that your dude showed he blows ass on grass yet again

Looking ahead to Sunday, Cilic has a chance to beat whomever he faces. He is super focused, has the shots and the serve. Bird would be 3 setter. Roger...well, that depends on what Roger brings that day, variety wise. He would need every tool in the tool box to beat Cilic. There is a chance Cilic mentally takes a break but I doubt it. he is good.

Do we actually know how well Cilic is playing yet? Just saying...

Marin is very dangerous no doubt. But for Roger, especially on grass, it is the return that is truly key. His ROS has been a disaster in many of his losses at Wimbledon. It's been way better this year so far at Wimbledon and everywhere else. Fed's serve has quietly been underwhelming all year, that's the crazy part. And as I type he just got broken by Berd.

Just amusing myself since no one I care about is still in the tournament on the men's side.

You're starting to sound like Cilic's agent trying to get him a $5 million endorsement deal. LOL! I think it'll be a tight match and as always when Roger plays - it's on his racket. Cilic IS playing well, but let's get real about WHO he's beat en route to the final -

R1 - Kohlschreiber - Rank 60
R2 - Florian Mayer - Rank 114
R3 - Steve Johnson - Rank 31
R4 - Robert Bautista Agut - Rank 19 (NOT the world's best grass court player!)
QF - Gilles Muller - Rank 26 (and may not have escaped if Muller hadn't been tired in the 5th)
SF - Sam Querrey - Rank 28

The reality is - his path to the finals wasn't exactly strewn with the creme de la creme that he fought off in hard battles of attrition. The politest way to describe the players on this list would be "journeymen." I'm not saying he can't or won't beat Federer on Sunday - I'm just saying - to say he's "playing" well is relative to the competition he's "playing well" against.
