The pattern on grass is that Cilic wins after going the distance. I'll stick with that. Cilic in five, although I'd like to see Querrey win.

Cilic shanks two easy shots and Querrey takes the first set on a tiebreak. He must have been put off by the brief stop at 6 all.

Regarding 2, I double checked the Acapulco draw. Unlce Sam actually caused upsets in every one of the five rounds there.:yesyes:
He beat Kyle Edmund, David Goffin, Dominic Thiem, Nick Kyrgios and Rafa Nadal in succession. All of them were ranked better
than Uncle Sam. So, I either have to retract point 2 or claim that he cannot cause more than one upset in Slams.

Last night I thought about another reason why Querrey could win: a spectator faints in the audience at 6 all in the first set tie breaker right before a Cilic second serve after a successful challenge from Querrey.

Good Lord Mrzz. :lol3: It couldn't be the fact that Cilic is consistently unreliable. Remember how he kindly handed over the Queens final to Delicious?

Cilic levels things up. Not a particularly enjoyable spectacle. I think I'd take sick like the woman in the first set if I was there and head to the nearest pub.

Haven´t watched that (but I wanted to). But I read it was a helluva of a match...

Anyway, both players showing nerves on quite a few opportunities here. Good for the opponent in the final...

Big Sam swallows the disappointment of the loss in the TB and breaks early in the 4th. He's hanging in there.

We´re on the same on this, Moxie. Nothing against Cilic (yeah, I know), but I happened to watch one Querrey interview (and I usually don´t watch those), and thought the guy is quite honest. I try to root for players based on what I see on court, but once you get a good impression about someone it generally taints your judgment.

I still think Cilic will be the winner. But, I would be happier if SQ wins as I think he is less of a threat to #19.
