Wow... the kid shows some stones. Ralf had him on the ropes, but Kyrgios pulls off the backhand pass.

Get your first serves in there Kyrgios or you are going to be a tired fella by the end of this set.

Running in and out of the kitchen and sitting room. Eating like Ronnie Coleman today!

I do like the way Nick isn't afraid to take his backhand crosscourt to Ralf's forehand.

Rafa has learned his lesson - saw that K was camped out on his serving down the T in the deuce court. Now he's serving out to the kid's forehand and making him guess. Easier service games ever since.

Kyrgios showed up on my radar early in 2013. I started mentioning him as the youngest player in the top 300 when he was 17.

It will be interesting to see where he goes from here. Regardless of what happens today, he'll finish Wimbledon in the top 100 (I think he's at #93 in the live rankings; if he somehow beats Rafa he goes up to #66).

I'm hoping he can rise a bit higher by year's end, maybe even sniff the top 50. Next year might be a rise into the top 30, even top 20.

The problem is, after playing against Kyrgios and Milos, Roger's serve will feel like a WTA serve to Rafa and he will just punish everything, have the return match of his life...

:snigger
It might be as bad a beatdown as the 08 French final.

Which is why I'm rooting for Stan. I don't need to see another beat down unless Rafa loses here in which case fed all the way

Dude, Cahill mentioned Kyrgios has had some injury problems, and that he's been working on his conditioning. If he can maintain his health he should keep advancing.
