Quite an achievement for Bouchard to make 3 straight Qfs at slams. WTA did a thing on Wozniacki only needing to make the quarters here to become the 13th active woman to reach the qfs at all four slams and now Bouchard may get there before her if she can make the quarters at the US Open. Which at this point, seems not only possible but very likely. She's definitely one of the best 8 players on tour this year. Woz falls before the quarters here yet again and well, you all know how I feel about her. So I'm more than happy to see her bounced. Still not excited that Bouchard is achieving all of this before Sloane, but, that's on Sloane. It sucks to see her be this bad. And she only needs the French and the US to get to all the qfs at slams. Bouchard of course has a chance to make 3 SFs this year. Which would put her in a category with Maria and Vika, who both went to 3 straight semis from the 2012 US Open to the 2013 French Open (Vika actually went to 4 straight because her streak extended from the 2012 Wimbledon to the 2013 French). Though of course, Maria and Vika both managed to go to at least 1 final in that span. Bouchard will have to go through Maria though of course to even join the 3 straight semis club.

Makarova doin WORK! Get it! Love her in general. But definitely would love to see Radwanska make an exit. It's just gravy that Makarova gets to do the upsetting and move on to her first Wimbledon QF.

Exactly. Sloane needs to ask herself what she really wants, and how to achieve it, then get serious about it. As is, she's letting her talent go to waste, and giving what feels like minimal effort.

I'm upset Radwanska is going down so easily. I think she's a gifted, natural talent, and incredible shot-maker, although lacking in certain areas (strength, serve).

4-0! She just broke Radwanska to love. She's just playing really well right now. 2 holds. That's all she needs. I say that because I can forsee a world where she crumbles, because it wouldn't be the first time. But it definitely doesn't look like that's going to be the case today. She's reached 5-0, holding to 15 while I've been typing this. But there appears to be rain approaching. Radwanska may try to get it stopped.

Ekaterina is ahead 5-0 in the second set. Soon Aga will join her friend Caro on the side-lines.
Makarova is a much better grass player than Aga, that's for sure.

Yeah. I just don't care for her. But yes, obviously she's amazing. To have no power at all, she does so well. But I wonder if she had the power if she would be nearly as good. Because she wouldn't have had to learn to play the game the way she did. So those are the trade offs. We simply don't see anyone like her who has the power because it's so much more logical and easy quite frankly to learn to play a power hitters game. I would love to see someone like her. But, chances are good there's someone out there like her but I don't like them anyways. Then again, I think if there were someone like that, they really would be a top player, so I don't there is anyone like that.

^ I meant, someone like her who also has power. Maybe not a ton, but just more power than she does.

Radwanska's out. :cry

She looked bad since Paris. She lost faith in herself. Lost her fire.

Makarova also defeated Radwanksa at the USO last year

Makarova deserved her win she played great grass court tennis.
