Hopefully not, I prefer Stan to Verdy... ;)
I think I know what you mean but if Verdasco would play better with his head he would be better than Wawrinka, but....:nono

So would Nalbandian... :laydownlaughing

Oh Nabaldian....don't remind me
But again, Verdasco could be better player but he should learn to be more stable but he probably never will do :cover

British Men Watch:

Today Andy won against Hasse and James Ward won against Jiri Vesley (a mild upset).
But, British #2 Bedene went out to Troiki in 4 sets,

# of British Men in R1: 6
# of Briiths Men in R2: 4

There are 2 of them left now in R3. Andy plays Seppi in R3 and Ward plays Popsicle.

That's actually not a bad Wimbo for the Brits. Okay, Bedene is as British as Greg Rusedski, but I was chuffed to see Ward progress again. He's always been a kind of bloke who's struggling to make the grade, despite his technical limitations. He's a great grafter, unlike so many privileged Brits before...

Well Ward got benefitted by the withdrawal of Ferru. Otherwise, he could have reported for duty in the grocery stores two few days earlier.;) Actually, he doubled his career earnings in the last four days.

Nadalites should take heart. Rafa is improving. Last year he lost to a guy ranked 144. This year he lost to a guy ranked 102. :snicker

Ferru's real motives exposed. Scandalous! :devil

Don't have so much "compassion" to Nadal, he doesn't need it, he will wake up soon ;)
Meanwhile let's go to see what is going on during this tournament.......:p

I'm pleased for Andujar, btw, who took out Rosol today, though he probably won't get past the (Naked-as-a-jay-)Birdman. Murray's draw has opened up nicely. Clever Ferrer.

Actually that was not technically an upset as Andujar was ranked a few spots ahead of Rosol.
But most people, including me, thought Rosol would win that one.

Regardless of draw Murray was always right up there as one of the top favourites anyway so don't think he needed any help. Besides last year's poor loss he's always done well in grass season.

But he lost, so it means that Andujar played better, isn't ?

I didn't need to check the results when I woke up in Oz this morning... I just saw Kieran posting. Commiserations for your loss mate but every cloud has a silver lining.... those expensive two weeks holidays have now turned into a cheap long weekend at the bed and breakfast. Savings all around.

Agreed, but it doesn't hurt. As he'll likely have to go through both Federer and Djokovic to win, it'll be useful to get to the semis without a long trial. Federer and Djokovic will likely have at least one good fight before the SFs. Andy'll be my favorite to win it.

Broken said to me the other day, hope to see you in two weeks, but we'll probably see you Thursday. Unfortunately, we didn't disagree on it. But the silver lining is to watch the rest of it without threatening my blood pressure. I won't post again after today though, I'm working on something I don't want to disturb. Just popped in to congratulate the DB fans... :snicker

And they are legion, at this point, and for the moment. We'll miss you. :hug

I think he'll win it too but hopefully not :D
