Genie needs to humble herself....she seems to have this entitled air about her.

They are making it up to her, by putting her in No. 1 court for the second round match vs. Daniela Hantuchova. If she manages to win, bigger prize awaits. Facing Serena in the third round on Center Court.;)

No one should be surprised by garbage scheduling decisions with Wimbledon. I actually think their tournament is the worst when it comes to scheduling.

My husband says Venus looked unwell after her match, and will probably be ousted in the early rounds. Might be reason for withdrawing from doubles.

It's pretty hard to get worse than the U.S. Open when it comes to scheduling.

Serena announced today that after she realized how she (Serena) is playing in the first match, she decided it is better for her to focus on singles.

If Venus and Serena meet up on Monday, I want Serena to beat Venus. Because if Venus beat Serena there's no guranteed that Venus will win this tournament. The fatigue and her opponent could take her out at any time. Even though there's no guranteed that Serena would win it either. However, she has a better chance.

Oh Dear,
Genie got beat by someone named Ying_Ying Duan, a qualifier from China.
Really an unranked qualifier?
I'm trying to time when this free-fall began....I'm starting to think it was after she lost Wimbledon. It was almost like that beatdown destroyed all confidence and all swagger:huh:

I saw Serena's announcement and don't quite believe it. We will see if my husband's assessment of Venus' condition is correct
