Yep JJLB it is. Serena lost in the first round of a slam ever last year and then went on a tear. I wonder if Nadal can muster the same kind of results.

I just.... I don't even.... I'm utterly flabbergasted. Flabber. Gasted. This is insane. Great effort from Darcis. I watched it. And Nadal really wasn't awful. And the scoreline shows that he didn't just not play well at all. But it literally seems to me like Nadal didn't put up a fight. That's crazy to say. But watching it. That's just how I felt. I mean, there were moments. Where it looked like he was trying. He just couldn't get the shots in. Which is completely unheard of. He doesn't miss. I mean.... He's got a 20 to 10 h2h advantage over Roger freaking Federer because he doesn't miss. Like.... it was... the best word for it is really is WEIRD. It was just weird. He wasn't injured. He can't dare blame his knees. It was just weird.

He did his best but Darcis couldn't miss. If Rafa could win a set, he might have settled but he never looked confident. Credit to his opponent for that! He looked like he enjoyed it as much as Rafa looked uncomfortable. Smattering winners and serving great. Rafa's serve only came together after he was broke in the third.

Nadal didn't give up, he just couldn't stop the guy. He was forced to go for big shots and missing them made it look like he was sloppy...

He looked like he was still in clay mode. That walking around the backhand shot in the second set tie-break was just exemplary.

In other news, Wawrinka and Hewitt should be fun to watch. Lleyton just broke Stanislas in the first game.

Nothing to focus on. Muzza up 2 sets and 5-2. That's practically over. Wonder if they'll move a match to CC.

You're not quoting yourself. It runs your posts together if no one has posted in between yours.

I'm just stunned by this shocking news.

Now, it is a golden chance for Murray to win his 1st Wimbledon title.

Yup, he does 45 points. Perhaps he needs now to go and play some clay events in the post-Wimvbledon swing, to get back his confidence.:)

This definitely puts rogers consistency in perspective. It also says something about consistent Novak has been at slams in the last 3 years.

I think "uncomfortable" is a good word to explain Nadal. And Darcis definitely did a good job of keeping him that way. He really did play great. Shocking. I'm glad... ish. I wanted to see a Fedal clash. But I was pretty sure Fed was gonna lose, though if I was going to give him a chance anywhere it would be here. So I'm glad Fed should be able to more easily make the semis, or actually make the semis. But... as vulnerable as he's looked this season, I still wouldn't be surprised if he was upset before the semis or quarters. That vulnerability certainly seemed less at Halle. And he finally won a title for the year. So maybe that helped him. But basically it's just the fact that it's grass that brings my confidence in him up. Can he get by Murray? Idk. Murray's breakthrough certainly seemed to be the Olympics, as opposed to it being the US Open. I think the Olympics made the US Open possible. Still, he'll have to do it again. Roger has a way of figuring out how to win (the understatement of the tennis century).
