I guess Tomic has recovered by now from his bilateral hip surgery. About time he won a match. Not a mad fan of his rope a dope style of play but he was doing well in the AO till he got injured so it's good that he seems to be back playing well finally.

Meanwhile, JWT is pushed to 5 sets. He's up a break in the decider 3-1

Solid start for Murray but disappointed in the other Brits today. Cox put up a decent fight against Chardy but Ward only took five games off Youzhny and Evans lost to Kuznetsov, who is a player he's good enough to beat.

Ah well, some good matches today, enjoying Tsonga vs Melzer, this one always had potential. Dimitrov played well earlier.

Anyone else think that Centre Court seems to be playing slightly slower than the outside courts or is that just me?

Yeah, I was also thinking it looked slower. The court where Baggy and Brown were playing looked much faster. Same at RG so I'm sure it's true of many of the slam courts.

It was lovely to see Andy get a standing ovation when he walked out on centre court today. A 3-set win. Can't ask for more.

Thank you Pavlik! Was out all day with errands/appointments and missed the match. Saw the bagel and can enjoy the next two sets... after I mow the lawn. :nono

^ Agreed with all of those…and most of them messed up my draws. I should have known better than to pick the erratic Dustin Brown, but Thiem is young, so that's not a shock. I was hoping for Pospisil, but he's just coming back from injury. Verdasco…ah, Fernando. He had such a good run last year.

Dustin Brown can tell his kids he beat Rafael Nadal. That will be the highlight of his career. Now two weeks of London clubbing.

Thiem, after beating Wawrinka, and posting a decent showing against Rafa, should have done better.

I'm expecting more flops...Lopez, Gasquet, etc.
