On first glance, not much to get excited about. Maybe Dimitrov and Harrison could be interesting if Harrison plays to his potential. Tsonga and Melzer maybe?

Ferrer and Busta could be interesting and Brown vs. Baghdatis could be entertaining.

Dolgopolov and Groth could be fun - Groth of the record 163mph serve.

Also, Saville and Thiem could be interesting - Saville is a junior Slam champion, I believe.

I think there is a couple of matches that might turn out to be a bit trickier than expected.
Verdasco-Matosevic is one. Youzhny-Ward is another and also Tsonga-Melzer match might go the distance. Most people will not remember but Melzer won this tournament as a junior in 99.

Hot form going in, then! :snigger

That'll be a good match, and Baggy v Brown could be the most entertaining.

Thanks for posting the schedules, tented! :clap

Brown vs. baggy could be a lot of fun. I am hoping to catch a brown match or two. He was fun to watch last year.

I'll be devoting my attention to court 8 on day 1. Verdasco vs. Matosevic, and then the Nard Dog vs. Donskoy.

Let's hope the weather holds up! Can't wait for Wimbledon -- love this time of year.

Verdasco and Matosevic could be interesting. Tsonga and Melzer could be very good if they both feel like it, but that is a big if for both guys.

I'll be paying attention to the Brits tomorrow/today. Murray, Ward and Evans all in action, I believe Johanna Konta is playing on the women's side too.

Tomas takes the second set with 6-1.

First in the second round, Stakhovsky, who takes out Berlocq with a symmetric score:
6-3,6-3, 6-3

Gulbis taken to 12-10 in the third set tiebreak, the second of the match. But he does win it. Goes through in straight sets. He'll play Federer's conqueror from last year next. Let's just remember that before he beat Fed last year, while ranked quite low, he had been top 50 and maybe top 30. Could actually be a battle for Gulbis. Definitely hope he comes through though. It won't get any easier after that, but I'm definitely hoping he makes it to Berdych in the fourth round, though I'm hoping Berdych won't be there waiting.

Andy Murray defeats Goffin in straight sets, next he will face the Slovenian Blaz Rola who made his debut at Wimbledon with a straight set win against Andujar

Good TB from Dimitrov to take the first set. It was a close set. I still do not like Harrison's wristy forehand. Unreliable.

Verdasco lost to Matosevic. That one was going to be tricky. Matosevic is playing well. Youzhny made quick work of Ward. I thought that was going to be tougher than that but looks like the good doctor was on his game.

I will be watching out for Ernie. No "good" reason he shouldn't do well on the grass and at least make it to Berd. But it is still Ernie and he could go out there and play an awful match every now and then.
