Kiu said:I know about Maria's H2H record against Serena,. However, Serena had difficulty against Maria in Miami, I would not be surprised if she gave her a match here.
I am not ready to dismiss Maria's chances yet.
You fail to realize, the surface under their feet is no longer a factor in their "rivalry." The defining factor is what's between the head, and Serena is squarely in Maria's head, and Miami in the end, regardless how wonderful Maria played for a set and a half, only punctuated the fact that in the end, Maria has that doubt when it comes to Serena.
Miami is definitely a "glass half full" "glass half empty" situation for Maria. She could look at it as, I almost beat Serena, or, I got bageled in the last set.
