For those who's favorite hobby seems to be to bash Masha in all instances - Remember that everything can happen in a slam - Top favorites can be beaten by unexpected opponents in the earlier rounds or get injured and have to withdraw - If Masha should happen to win under such circumstances then I bet that we'll have the same old discussion about a cup cake draw and how worthless and unappreciated the win is - My experience is that Masha always can surprise and do the unexpected and yes - sometimes luck is by her side - As a 4 slam champion it's not unrealistic to regard her a top contender in opposite to some poster's big toe
You have a point, anything can happen.
Maybe the number 81 player in the world will make the finals and put a beat down on the number 1 player. It has happened before.
