Honestly i'm quite happy with any one of these finals. Slight preference for something we haven't already seen before (eg Fed-Nole, even though they tend to produce pretty tennis of late).

I think Dimitrov-Federer might be slight favorite, simply b/c theres a chance that they bring out the best in one another and we might see some really sublime tennis.

Dephinitely hoping phor Djokovic vs. Phederer. Next prepherance is Phederer vs. Dimitrov. Then, Djokovic vs. Raonic. Last is Raonic vs. Dimitrov.
I'll watch whatever, but the only match that would have me "on the edge of my seat" is Djokovic vs. Phederer.

Also one other good thing if Nole wins he will be sending Rafa back to the rank he belongs :) And Moxie, no offense but I don't buy for a second that you aren't worried about Nole starting to become a force at majors again. These young guys aren't anywhere near his level yet on a consistent basis. The top guys still have time to own the majors. And one big win for Novak could turn things around for his career which has quietly been in the tubes for over a year now.

I do take offense that you don't take me at my word. Everyone has said that Roger might win another Slam, if the stars aligned. Meaning, for example, Rafa and Andy out, as is the current circumstance. If Roger doesn't take advantage of his opportunity, but Novak does, is it because his form and fortunes have changed, or that he is just the last man standing? I know he's a confidence player, but I won't be thinking this gives him the next 2 Majors. What if Novak doesn't come through? As you point out, he's been a bit in the toilet as far as Slam wins. A win here would bolster his confidence, but I don't see it changing the next 3-4 Slams.

Well we won't know until if/when it happens. But given his disastrous play in big matches a slam win could do wonders especially heading into 2 hard court slams.

I also disagree with the stars aligning talk. That's Kieran propoganda. Clearly it doesn't take the stars to align for Nadal to look like a scrub at Wimbledon. And Roger isn't ever going to be scared of Murray. Roger just had to remember who he is this year. He should be winning on grass even at his age.

I can't look back now, but I'd be stunned if you weren't amongst those who said the stars had to align. You do give Roger rather a hard time. Still, you have to admit, Rafa and Andy going out does suit Roger in an unexpected way.

Wow, I see much interpretation of my opinion.

No need for you to get involved, little lady. You run on back to the kitchen. Darth and Front will tell us what you think.

:lolz: :clap

They're getting up for the match, which is natural, and of course, with no Rafa there it means they're getting giddy because Roger actually has a chance. It should be interesting today. I'm not worried about Roger winning yet another major - he's having a great career, and Rafa is too. But I think this might be Roger's definitively last chance to get one, on account of the age, and Rafa not being there. That'll sharpen him up. But it still won't be easy, if Raonic enjoys himself today. As a spectacle, the match needs Raonic to turn up, and then we get the contrast between Roger's old skool stuff, S&V where he can, against The Man With The Silver Arm.

I think Raonic is the guy we all least want to see win this, because his game is just so awful to watch, so having him in the final, we can predict certain things. Like, 142mph, and 144mph, and so on. But having the two youngsters there would be like the 96 final, where there were unexpected finalists. It's seldom, therefore it's wonderful...

I don't buy the aligned talk. Kieran has been saying it for 5 years and basically whining about Roger's "luck" anytime Nadal loses to a powder puff at a slam.

The question with Roger coming into the year is whether or not he was going to remain at the awful level we saw all of last year or could he turn it around. I figured he'd play much better this year but don't expect him to win any GS again (which means he is no longer a great player). And despite being in the semis here I'm still not expecting him to win the title as I think the serve machine today has a darn good chance.

Good idea to put Moxie in her natural habitat. A spinach and feta omelet sounds good my dear :clap

(Note: I'm not half as sexist as the first sentence implies, please don't stone me :snigger)

She cleans too tented! Her home after Rafa has a nail-biter match?! Spotless.

Of course, I'm the same way when Nole's having a tough match... and my house gets cleaned a lot more often. :s
